Margery and Alena sat in the Enchanted Forest while the Tourney game was going on. It's what they do. Every Tourney game, the two girls escape the school and sit alone, dipping their legs in the lake.
Margery had her connection with the group, but Alena's was different. Margery knew things about Alena that not even Artie knows about.
Alena grabs Margery's hand, getting her attention.
"You seem worried." Alena says. Margery looks at her and smiles.
"I'm fine."
"Does it have anything to do with Ben?" Alena asks.
"Maybe."
"You know, living here... it's not that bad."
"What are you talking about?"
"I mean—I miss Wonderland and everything, but maybe we should start to actually fit in. It's been years and we still haven't found a way back."
"Alena—"
"Maybe if we try to fit in—"
"Alena—"
"—then maybe they'll open the portal and—"
"ALENA!" Margery yells. Alena stopped talking and looked at her. Margery didn't have a happy look on her face.
"Even if we do fit in, even if people do start to trust us, they will never want to open the portal." Margery says softly. Alena looks down at the lake. Margery took Alena's hand into hers and held it tight. "I made you all a promise. One way or another, I will find a way home and we will reunite with our parents. But it has to be my way of doing it."
"And then..."
"And then... I will get my revenge on Auradon." Margery says with a no sign of it being just a joke.
Heading back to the school, the girls were found by Bianca and Claws.
"Hey, what's wrong?" Alena asked the girls. Bianca and Claws looked at each other before back at Margery and Alena. They wore a face of worry.
"You have to see for yourself." Bianca grabbed Margery by the wrist and Claws grabbed Alena. They dragged them away to where the game was finished and music played. They stopped to find Ben in front of Mal way at the top of the bleachers. Margery was pushed out of the way by an angry looking Audrey.
She climbed up the bleachers with Chad and took the microphone from Ben's hand.
"Chad's my boyfriend now! And I'm going to the coronation with him. So I don't need your pity date." Audrey sneers.
"Whoa!" The crowd says. Ben takes back the microphone without a care about Audrey and looks at Mal.
"Mal! Will you go to the coronation with me?"
"Yes!" Mal yells.
"She said yes!"
Audrey runs away in embarrassment. Before being able to pass by the Wonderland descendants, Margery steps in her way.
"Not so high and mighty now, huh?" She says to Audrey. Audrey put on a brave face.
"Get out of my way, freaks." Audrey growls. She tries to walk away, but Claw had her by the arm. She pinned the poor princess against the bleachers.
"You treat her with respect." Claw growls back, showing off her sharp feline teeth.
"No, she'll treat all of us with respect now." Another voice adds. Wilbur and Artie join their friends. "No long using Benny boy over there as a cover, huh?" Artie points over to where Ben stands.
"Come on guys." Alena says, getting the group's attention. "I don't like Audrey anymore than you do, but maybe we should just leave her alone for now. Don't want to get in trouble now, do we?"
"Alena is right!" Wilbur says. "Audrey no longer has control over Beast-boy, guess you can say she's useless now."
"Useless to begin with." Claw mutters, letting Audrey go.
"Run along now, princess. Before we decide to keep you as a pet." Artie says close to Audrey's ear and Audrey ran off immediately.
"Now we have to find something on Mal and her rat gang as blackmail." Artie adds. Claws and Bianca look at each other with a smirk.
