17-' One day'

Aditya was going from Zoya's house. But before he stepped out, He held Zoya and hugged her tightly.
She was confused, But she hugged him back in reflex.
"Thank you." He wispered in her ear.
He went back and looked at her confused expression.
He smiled.
"For everything." Aditya said and turned to leave.
Yash was standing beside Zoya's house gate.
Glaring at Aditya.

"Aditya are you sure?" Arjun asked one more time.
"Of course." Aditya said slowly.
"You don't seem to be confident " Arjun said worriedly.
Aditya Paused for a while.
"I'm not sure, I have a strong feeling that it is Zoya after listening to all of that." Aditya said.
Arjun gave a confused look.
"Because everything fits. The time she met me, The times she spent time with me, It's all perfect." Aditya assured.
"What could we do" Arjun asked as he sipped the coffee.
They were thinking for a while.
Arjun got an idea.
"Remember? we have a class reunion party a day later." Arjun said.
Aditya's eyes widened.
That was the best plan.
"Some one will still be in touch with her so th-"
"Mona!"
"Mona?"
"Yeah Mona was her roommate."
"But how would we get to her?"
"Her number "
"But how would w-"
"It's easy for us anyway."
Aditya raised his eyebrows and smirked.
Arjun understood the entire plan.

Aditya submitted his designs to Yash before leaving. Yash stopped him.
"What are you doing?" Yash asked angrily.
"My work" Aditya said.
"I'm not kidding. You know it."
"What?"
"You exactly know what I'm talking about."
"Aren't you supposed to keep your work and personal life far?"
"But your work hours are over."
"What do you expect me to do?" Aditya sighed.
"Stay away from Zoya." Yash ordered.
Aditya's eyes widened.
"No" Aditya instantly replied.
"What?"
"I wil not stay away from Zoya." Aditya said. He didn't know from where it all came from, But he said it.
Yash was shocked.
"Why?" Yash asked.
Aditya Paused.
He didn't know it himself.
All he knew was that he couldn't leave Zoya.
He would not be able to stay away from her.
"Do you like her?" Yash Asked and raised an eyebrow.
"In that case you like her, Aren't you confident about your love?" Aditya asked.

Yash paused.
He didn't know how to answer.
Was he confident?
If he was confident why was he afraid of Aditya being closer to Zoya?
Did he genuinely love Zoya or was it just infatuation?
As he kept thinking, He doubted his love for Zoya, And that was the mistake.
He hesitated.
One question put him in a tough spot.

"If you are confident, Would you take this much time to answer my question?" Aditya asked.
Without waiting for Yash to answer, Aditya left.
Yash didn't know what to answer anyway.

Aditya reached home. His mood wasn't good.
While entering, He saw Zoya.
He immediately smiled.
Zoya noticed Aditya and went to him.
"Hey how was yo-"
He pulled her to a hug.
She was yet again shook by his gestures.
"Aa..dit..ya." Zoya stuttered.
He removed her from his embrace and looked at her.
She was obviously confused.
"Don't give me that look, I just wanted a hug." Aditya said.
Zoya smiled and nodded.
"But do you know where Yash is?" Zoya asked.
"Yash?" Aditya asked.

He wasn't shocked upon Zoya searching for him but was shocked because she called him 'Yash' Instead of 'Sir' or any formal title.
*Are they aldready close?* Aditya asked himself.

"No" Aditya replied.
"If you don't mind may I ask why?" Aditya asked, He was very curious, Especially after the conversation with him earlier.
"I just wanted to ask him if I could take the day after off" Zoya said.
Aditya let out a sigh.
"What happened?" Zoya asked, Looking at his expression.
"Nothing. But why are you taking the day off?" Aditya asked.
"I am meeting my school friends."
"Are you in touch with them?"
"Not really, But I happened to bump into my roommate so age informed me about it."
"Aah."
"Yeah "
They stood there silently facing eachother.
It was a long awkward silence.
They were nodding for no reason.
Eyes were wandering.
They weren't able to take it anymore.

"Ok then Bye." Zoya broke the silence.
"Bye." Aditya replied.
After Zoya left, Aditya noticed Arjun smiling creepily behind the couch.
Aditya was confused.
Arjun slowly moved to Aditya.
"What's up with you, You were alright till evening." Aditya said as Arjun went nearer.
"Who do you think is the reason behind Zoya's day off?" Arjun asked, Still showing all of his teeth
"The..M..e..e..t" Aditya slowly realised.
"You?" Aditya asked,
His face glowed,
He smiled bright.
"Yes brother." Arjun said opening his arms for Aditya to hug him
Aditya immediately hugged him tightly.
But it didn't last long, He went away in awe.
"But how?" Aditya asked with his eyes wide.
"Just a school role play." Arjun said.
They both smiled at eachother,
Like lunatics.
The place became bright.
