The next morning I get up at 6:15 and get ready for school. I normally don't try to look good, but today I wanted to; maybe it was because of Luke.

"Jo! Hurry up , we gotta go!"

Jesus Christ. That woman is loud. I curled my hair and put on black skinny jeans and a Nirvana t-shirt. I'm not going to go overboard, it's just a stupid little crush. I wouldn't even call it a crush. It's more of a "yo, you're hot" kind of thing.

I grab my backpack and walk to my moms car. Yeah, it's my moms car, I never passed my driving test.

When we finally got to school , the first bell was about to ring. Typical. I run through the doors and start swerving through all the students.

I have so many thoughts about why high school kids are the biggest idiots in the world.

Stop screaming, you saw your best friend yesterday.

Literally, move faster.

Stop going so fast, this isn't the Olympics.

And the list goes on.

When I finally get to my locker I realize that I never asked him what school he goes to. What if he doesn't even go here. This was all for nothing. But then out of the corner of my eye, I see him, him and his beautiful blue eyes.

Geez Jordan. Snap out of it. Boys are worthless, they just take advantage of you and then get rid of you when you're no longer useful to them.

I get my things and I sprint to my first class, math. Who in the right mind would put math as someone's first class. I mean, I'm tired enough but now you're going to make me think 12 times harder.

I doze off during math and when first period is over I feel much more awake.

Maybe math class actually is useful.

The first half of the day flies by and by the time it's lunch, my stomach won't stop growling.

I get my lunch and sit down. Today, ValleyHills high school was serving brown mush with a side of yellow goo.

My favorite.

Note the sarcasm.

I stare at my "food" as if I'm waiting for it to turn into a delicious sandwich. We all know that's not going to happen.

The sound of a chair being pulled back brings me out of my thoughts and I look up.

The blue eyed boy smiles at me and asks if he could sit.

It's Luke.

"Thanks for giving me a ride yesterday." I say.

"Yeah, no problem. Oh, I like your shirt by the way." He replies with a wink.

Did he just wink. Did he just fuck!ng wink.

"Thanks."

"Do you want my sandwich? I'm not very hungry and by the sound of the noises your stomach is making, it sounds like you are." He says with a laugh.

Oh my god.

"Kidding." He says while handing me his sandwich.

"Thanks." Thank god, I'm starving.

"Do you want to come over after school tonight ? " He asks.

"What?"

"Do. You. Want. To. Come. Over. After. School. Tonight." He says with a smirk.

"I know what you said, but why?"

"I need help with math, and I think you need to copy some of my notes since you were too busy sleeping during the lesson."

Great. He saw that.

"Well, I guess you're right. So sure I guess."

"Great, meet me in the parking lot after school."

And then he turned and walked away.

And just like that, the "yo you're hot kind of thing" turned into something more.

Something I thought I wouldn't feel for a long time.
