Nathan's pov
My clan beat me and then left me to fend for myself but I don't know how to, they never really taught me about the world. They just kept me locked up in a house and protected me from some thing that was out to get me. I've been homeschooled since I turned 6 and now I'm 17. Right now though I've enrolled myself into a school called Roseville High.
I finally found the place I'm suppose to get my schedule and locker number plus combination, if I'm being quite honest I'm really confused and lost. I'm looking for Mr. Fairville's class and I can't find it, these halls are very confusing right now.
After 20 minutes I finally found it but as I walked in everyone including the teacher turned to look at me. "Ah you must be the new student Nathan Sykes?" the teacher says smiling softly. "Y-Yes s-sir" I stutter out. "No need to be nervous, now how about you tell everyone a little bit about yourself" he says smiling at me. "Um well my name is Nathan Sykes, uh I'm new to the whole public school thing" I say nervously. I didn't want to say anything else so the teacher, Mr. Fairville, told me to go sit next to a boy named Shawn Mendes. So that is where I am sitting right now but I have my head down and listening to the teacher teach something I've already learned. When the bell rang I jumped because I'm not used to that but eventually I will, I hope. "Hey are you ok?" the boy, Shawn, asks. "Yeah I'm just used to the whole bell thing" I tell him. "I know how you feel but after a few days or so it's pretty normal. So I was wondering if you needed help finding any of your classes?" he asks me curiously. "Um, sure" I say. "Ok well Ms. Lovato is right down the hall, here!!" he says pointing to the classroom.
We both walked in and just in time I suppose because the bell rang again. "Don't worry Ms. Lovato is one of the nicest teachers you will ever meet, well unless she's had an argument with her boyfriend Mr. Murs" Shawn tells me. "Um, ok" I tell him kinda scared. Before he could say anything the teacher Ms. Lovato walks in looking happy? "Well as you may all know Mr. Murs and I are dating" she says looking at the students. "Yes" they all say. "Well he just proposed" she says. The girls squeal in delight and the guys cheered including Shawn. I'm sitting right beside him. "In even bigger news we have a new face to the school, Nathan Sykes are you here?" she asks looking around. I stand up hesitantly. "So Nathan would you like to introduce yourself to the class?" Ms. Lovato asks me kindly.
