Here, enjoy this super short, fluff only, no plot piece of shit as an apology for being gone so long.
"Camz! Babe, I'm home!" I walk into the the kitchen and see dinner warmed on the stove but no wife. Frowning, I continue into the living room and the sight makes me smile.
The loves of my life, all three of them, curled up on the couch asleep with Paw Patrol on the TV. Camila was laying on her back with Logan curled up on top of her and Kadence laying at the end of the couch with her legs on top of Camila's.
I press a kiss on my wife and kids foreheads and go to change. I toss my clothes into the laundry and pull on a pair of sweatpants and Camila's first tour hoodie. I go back into the kitchen, plate the food, and set the table. When that's done, I crouch down next to the couch.
"Camzi, baby wake up." I press feather light kisses to her eyelids, nose, and cheeks. "Princess, its time for dinner."
She groans, and her eyes flutter open. "Hi Lolo." Her cute sleepy voice made my heart go just as crazy as when we'd first met. She yawns and leans forward to kiss me. "I missed you."
I chuckle softly. "I was only gone for two days."
"Two days too long." She picks her head off the couch and rests it on my shoulder.
I push it off. "No babe, we're eating. We can cuddle later, but I'm starving."
Groaning again, she pouts. "Fine. I guess you don't love me." She sends me a small grin to show she's kidding and then pokes Logan to wake him up. "Mijo, wake up. Time for dinner."
His soft brown eyes open slowly, but when he sees me, he's quick to jump up. "Hi Mama." He collapses into my arms. "Miss you!" He speaks with surprising coherency for a three year old.
I ruffle his brown curls and kiss his cheek. "Missed you too mi vida." I lean down to the other end of the couch and shake Kadence's shoulder. "Kay, dinner time."
The six year old wakes faster than her mom and brother had. "Mama you're home!" She hugs me too, as strong as her tiny arms allowed.
We end up eating on the living room floor, all bundled together and never wanting to separate.
-Two Weeks Later-
"Hello Miami!" I wave to the large crowd and they all scream back. "How's everyone doing tonight?" More screams. I can't help laughing. "Yeah mood."
I glance over my shoulder and see my kids with noise blocking headphones on, watching me with huge grins. I wave at them too. "Hi babies!" Turning back to the crowd I grin. "My kids are so cute. I love them."
Camila stood on my right with a guitar in her hands. "Lauren, babe, you're getting off track." She shakes her head and smiles fondly. "Let's just sing okay?"
"Yeah okay. This is a song Camz and I jammed hard to together when we were teenagers, back when everything was unsure and our feelings were new." I grin at Camila, the feelings still just as exciting as when they were new. "This is I Wanna Be Yours."
Camila sings the first verse. "I wanna be your vacuum cleaner, breathing in your dust. I wanna be your Ford Cortina, I will never rust. If you like your coffee hot, let me be your coffee pot. You call the shots babe. I just wanna be yours."
I join her for the chorus. "Secrets I have held in my heart, are harder to hide than I thought. Maybe I just wanna be yours. I wanna be yours, I wanna be yours. Wanna be yours, wanna be yours, wanna be yours."
The next verse is mine. "Let me be your 'leccy meter and I'll never run out. And let me be the portable heater that you'll get cold without. I wanna be your setting lotion. Hold your hair in deep devotion. At least as deep as the Pacific Ocean. I wanna be yours"
