Thankfully, Zach had changed his playlist from his head-banging music to acoustic, allowing Natalie to sleep through the long flight to Costa Rica. The journey to Jurassic World wasn't over yet, however. Natalie, Zach and Gray were among hundreds of people on a ferry sailing for Isla Nublar, the island Jurassic World had been built on.

The three of them were standing on the outside deck, small sprays of water hitting them every so often, cooling them down in the Central American sun.

"How big is the island?" Gray asked from beside Natalie, who had been watching Zach play a game on his phone in boredom.

"Big," Zach answered, absently. Zach lost his balance as a large wave tipped the boat slightly, making him press into Natalie's side for stability. When the boat evened out again, he pulled away without a word.

Zach hadn't answered Gray's question properly as he pressed, "But how many pounds?"

Zach deadpanned, looking down at his brother with furrowed brows. "That doesn't make sense."

Ignoring Zach, Natalie smiled down at Gray and ran a hand through his dirty blond curls. "I don't think they weigh islands in pounds, bud," she answered him, "I don't think they weigh islands, actually. They usually do the whole square kilometre thing," she added on in thought.

"How many square kilometres is it then?" he asked.

Natalie shrugged, unable to answer him. "Not sure. Two thousand, maybe?"

Gray nodded, a look appearing on his face as if he was writing a mental note to ask his Aunt Claire. "When the park first opened, they had eight species. Now they have fourteen herbivores and six carnivores. That's like fifty tons of food a week."

"Really?" Natalie said in interest, "Wish I could eat fifty tons of food a week. That'd be the life, huh?" she smiled down at Gray. Looked at the other Mitchell brother when she realised Zach hadn't shot an insult at his brother.

Zach, of course, hadn't even been paying attention. Following his smouldering gaze to see a group of pretty white girls on a lower deck. They smiled up at him, giggling under his attention and obvious attraction towards them.

In the haze of the afternoon, Natalie could feel her shirt start to cling to her back in places. As she looked down at the group of girls Zach was staring at, she couldn't help but feel envious. Not only had these girls caught Zach's attention without even being close to him, but they were beautiful. Their white skin seemed to glow under the sun and their golden or fiery hair didn't have a single strand out of place.

"Zach?" Natalie called out to her friend. Though he was standing right by her side, he either couldn't hear her or just chose to ignore her. "Zach," she tried again but to no avail. At this point, her frustration and self-pity had built up so far that she couldn't stop herself when she flicked him in the ear, her nail scratching the soft flesh.
