I turned my body and settled myself into my chair, trying to relax. It’s just a name, a chair, and a boy. They are nothing unusual or anything to get nervous about. At least I don’t think one should get nervous about such things, especially chairs. That would be quite weird.
“I’m going to go over and get some food, my mom’s over there and I don’t want her to be to lonely, plus I don’t want to intrude any business you may run into.” Spencer said with a slight smirk, winking and giggling under her breath as she turned away.
What a cheese she is.
I leaned myself back, feeling more adjusted to my surroundings, rather than looking like a red stuck-up board in the middle of nowhere. Then, I jumped back up, as I felt a rough poke on my shoulder blade, and a figure quickly walked around to in front of me and sat down in the chair next to me.
“Oh no.” I thought.
“Hey, Camryn, right?” a male voice said.
I turned my head to the right. It was Sam. Sam Daley. I think I stared at his eyes for two seconds too long. Who can resist staring at blue eyes?
“Uh, yeah, I’m Camryn Foster. And you’re Sam Daley, no?”
“Indeed. One and only.” he replied with a slight laugh.
“One and only? Like you’re an extreme super star who has won several awards?” I couldn’t help but laugh back.
“So you’re the teasing type?” he smiled. His smile wasn’t bad either.
“If you want to put it simply, I suppose.” I looked away at the ground for a moment.
“No worries, it’s nothing bad at all. Actually kind of like it.” He looked down and rubbed his hand on the back of his head.
When he looked back up, him and I actually managed to make eye contact without freaking out. I smiled and silently giggled, still looking at him, then after a few moments, we both looked away.
“Dear God,” I thought, “don’t let me start proving Spencer right already.”
I hated to prove her right, and fall for some possibly dumb childhood crush (I don’t want to call it dumb now, because the last thing he seems like is part of something dumb).
Yet, in that moment, a large part of me wanted to have fallen already, and completely.
