Masquerade's blade hit The Winter Soldiers metal arm, he grunted and kicked her in the stomach, so she stumbled back a bit.

She laughed and threw a punch his way, hitting him in the jaw. The Falcon attacked her from the back slicing his arm in the process, she could see the droplets using from the tear in his suit.

A metal fist hit her hard, cutting her lip open. Masquerade licked the blood away from her open lip and quickly kicked back, winding Barnes. They were strong and fast, they fought off every move she sent their way.

She was knocked down, she could hear men panting. She got up on one of her knees, feeling the energy heat her body up, her veins turning an amaranth colour. She looked up at the soldiers, them noticing her eyes turning the same shade.

"What the hell?" Barnes was taken back by the sudden change in the woman's appearance.

Energy developing in her hands, causing a blast that sent them flying into the wall, breaking every glass surface because of its power, left them jumbled and aching.

"Didn't expect that boys? Huh, Bird guy? Grandpa?" she sneered.

"Not quite, how about you grandpa?" Wilson snickered and unsteadily made his way back on his feet, he stumbled over to his friend and helped him back up. Barnes shook his head and rolled his eyes at him while taking the offer of a helping hand.

Before Masquerade could fatally blast them, a screech left her lips. Agent Hill had sent the same electricity as earlier, just in an utterly more painful dose through her body. She fell to her knees and was knocked unconscious when her head hit the floor.

The un-responding woman was carried away by some agents and vastly secured into a cell, that drained her from her powers.

"So, you are saying that this woman is an enhanced shapeshifting, energy blasting super assassin, never seen by a currently living human being! Is that correct?" Nick Fury shouted while hastily walking around the observation room.

"Yes, that is correct sir. She is, what they say, a ghost" Hill said while double checking the security on the cell.

"Why is this the first I'm hearing about this?" he slammed his fist on the desk.

"We never had anything to go on, only dead bodies" Hill walked past the angry man and sat down behind the desk.

Lena was starting to wake, her whole body weak and her eyes seeing double. She looked around the padded cell, sensors that would make her weak to the core, covering every inch of it.

So that's what's making her feel like overcooked oatmeal.

She desperately tried getting on her feet but failed and fell to the floor once again. She apparently caught the attention of the people outside the dammed four walls, they watched her carefully while she tried to recall the full function of her body.

Nick Fury and Maria Hill were now joined by Bucky Barnes and Sam Wilson, all of them had their eyes on the strange woman.

"I would be so very fucking happy if you would tell me who the hell you are!" Fury commanded the fragile Lena.

"Ehm. I'm Lena, Lena Richards. I'm guessing by the highly secured and might I add, impressive getup you have going on here that you have encountered the other one" her voice shaky and small.

"The other one?" Bucky asked curiously.

"Yeah, ehm Masquerade the psycho who probably left you looking like that" Gesturing towards the visibly battered up men standing behind the glass.

"I don't believe her, she almost killed us a couple of hours ago and now she's blaming an alter ego, a crazy homicidal alter ego" Sam whispered beside Bucky.

"Don't tell me I'm supposed to believe this bullshit you are trying to sell us?" Fury snorted.

"I know what I do when she manifests, I just can't fully control it when she goes full glowing maniac, believe me, I've tried" Lena got up on her feet, unsurely and shaky, but she got up.

She caught a glimpse of her face in the dense window glass, her lip swollen, eyes bloodshot and burn marks on her hands from the angry hot blasts that had been forming in her hands.

"Are you only here to be malicious and try to steal our extremely sensitive information?" Hill asked with a concerning tone in her voice.

"Not by choice, its, unfortunately, my birthright" Lena took a good look at the individuals standing in front of her before passing out and landing on the freezing floor.
