WARNING: Contains Chapter 61 spoilers
A/N: I have to post this before Chapter 62 crushes everything. Because I have this headcannon that Sasha will be the one to help Mikasa to deal with her feelings/emotions. I am doubtful before that Sasha and Mikasa have a sisterly/friendly relationship. I always thought that Mikasa dominates Sasha and in return, Sasha was afraid/ not comfortable of Mikasa and that's the only thing their relationship are. But NO. Chapter 61 slapped me and told me, MIKASA AND SASHA ARE FRIENDS, you idiot! I was inspired by my mobile tumblr banner of Levi looking at Mikasa intensely (if I may assume, also passionately) at Chapter 60 and that cheerful hug Mikasa got from Sasha when Hanjie brought the good news at Chapter 61. So here's a super short fic but a kinda long drabble. I don't even know what this is....
It was on their ride back to the city after Hanjie explained to them that the Scouting Legion is now clear from charges that Sasha nudge Mikasa stealthily.
“Have you seen how Captain Levi looks at you all throughout this mission?” Sasha whispered with eyes twinkling just by thinking of possibilities of why Levi looks at Mikasa that way.
“No, Sasha. And shut up. He might hear you.” Mikasa looked at their Captain who sullenly looks on to nowhere. He looked so tired just like everyone else but there’s something in his scowl that says he’s bearing more than what was given. He’s worrying something not related to their mission or this fucked up situation they’re in. Is it the Ackerman guy that the MP talked about? Mikasa shrugged at the thought. She doesn’t really know Levi. Aside from the fact that Eren told them he came from the underground and the obvious attitude he has, his cleaning habit, his big bag of sass, his shitty remarks and terrible skills in explaining things, Mikasa does not know anything about the man for her to think about what is up with him. Yes, she have learned to respect the man because of several times he had saved Eren, because of indirect ways of telling her that he trusted her despite her irrational behavior that lead to his injury and because of the reasons behind his thinking and principle, and care for his subordinate and other people that some misunderstood because of his attitude and lack of skills to interpret his mind. But still, she does not really know him so how come she can tell that there’s something bothering their Captain?
“Well, he may as well hear me than see you looking at him like you want to devour him or something.” Sasha wink at her before she turned and beckoned Connie to throw her a potato from the sack of their fugitive provision.
Mikasa’s eyes widened and she felt her face heat up at Sasha’s silent observation. She’s definitely going to strangle the girl one day. For the moment, Mikasa resolved to hide behind her scarf and involuntarily think of their Captain.
