A tragedy happened at lake Hiawatha today. Two bodies were recovered after a witness called the authorities reporting that they went into the water but did not come out.
The bodies identified as teenagers Amy Albright, 16 and Chad Rose, 17. The witness, who wishes to remain unidentified, said the couple were arguing on the dock near her property. He hit her and suddenly the girl tackled him taking them both into the water.
The witness tried to wake her husband, while calling 911. The witness claims the boy tried several times to reach the surface for air but the girl would pull him back down.
A clue to the case was discovered in Albright’s luggage, several letters addressed to Rose implicated him in months of abuse to Albright and another teenager, Zack Hart.
Hart regained consciousness from a month long coma after an alleged assault from Chad Rose. Hart revealed that Albright was his girlfriend.
It seems Albright and Hart have both reported Rose to school officials and the authorities on several occasions. It raises the question about how far bullying can go before anything is done? Was this all a case of a love triangle gone wrong?
Doctors don’t believe it wise to reveal her death to him until he is more along in his recovery.
