6 Months Later...
(Tina P.O.V.)
Tina sat at her desk, tapping her foot impatiently as she watched the clock. She was waiting for the day to be over, for it was the last day of work until they could finally go on a summer break. They didn't have it until August fourth, that was today, and sadly it only lasted until the month of September. Even though Tina didn't have to report to the Woolworth building, she still was technically on duty at all times, having to be aware that she could be called in to go on a mission at any time. She was head auror, after all.
She continued to fill out paperwork, one paper after another until she finally finished the large stack that was sitting on her desk. She looked up at the clock, discovering that there was, thankfully, one minute left until it would be eight o'clock. She watched as the seconds ticked, silently counting along with it. Five... four... three... two... one... zero! Yes! She celebrated in her head as she jumped up from her chair. With a wave of her wand, she packed all her personal belongings into a box and made it vanish, sending it back home instead of having to carry it with her as she walked. Tina walked out of her office, glancing back at the now emptier room before closing the door behind her. She was close to the elevators when she heard a familiar voice call out to her,
"Hey, Tina! Wait up!" Tina immediately felt a smile creep on to her face as she turned around, coming to face her dear friend Jayden. There weren't many coworkers that Tina considered to be friends of hers, but she knew for a fact that Jayden was a keeper. They were much alike, and Tina wondered if that was why they got along so well...
"Hey, Jayden! What's going on?" Tina asked, turning back around to continue walking to the elevators. Jayden walked by her side, lugging a cardboard box in her arms with things from her office. The brunette stopped for a moment to catch her breath, then she adjusted her grip on the box as she continued.
"Oh, you know me, the usual. Do you have any plans for the break?" Jayden asked, a curious look on her face.
"Actually, I do have something in mind..." Tina started, wondering what Jayden would guess. She rose an eyebrow and started to tease,
"Oooo, are you gonna go visit your boyfriend!?" Tina couldn't help but blush and let out a small laugh. "OOOOO Tina your blushing! You were going to do that, weren't you? Who is your boyfriend, anyway?" Jayden asked, stepping into the elevator and setting the box on the floor. Tina stared at her with a mischievous smile on her face, trying to send a message that she wouldn't be spilling anything... yet.
"Oh, please please please pleeeaaasssseee tell me? Pretty please? With a cherry on top?" Jayden begged, a playful smile on her lips.
"Sorry Jayden, I'm not telling." Tina told her, smiling at the secret she held under lock and key. Tina hadn't told anyone who she was dating, mostly because of one; she didn't want people thinking that she was just saying she was dating The Newt Scamander for attention, and two; she didn't want people to think she was a liar.
"Oh come on, your secrets are killing me." They walked out of the elevator as it reached the main lobby's floor, and Tina shrugged, telling her,
"Sorry." They both laughed, proceeding to walk down the busy steps and exit the Woolworth building. It was just beginning to darken outside, and Tina was happy that it was summer now, for she didn't have to walk home in the bitter cold darkness. Tina bid goodbye to Jayden as they parted ways, and slowly Tina made her way home, just opening the door when it was getting completely dark. She quietly tiptoed up the stairs, trying to avoid having to talk to Mrs. Esposito, and surprisingly was successful. Opening the door to her and Queenie's apartment, she was surprised to find her sister and Jacob sitting at the table, a fancy candlelight dinner set out in front of them.
"Teenie! You're home!" Queenie exclaimed, clearly excited about something.
"Spit it out Queenie, you obviously have news of some sort," Tina told her, smirking at Jacob's surprised face.
"How did you-" Jacob began to ask, but Tina interrupted him with,
"She's my sister. I've lived with her my entire life, I know her ways." Tina smiled, looking at Queenie expectantly, waiting for her to say what she wanted to. Queenie cleared her throat and said,
"Jacob and I, we're getting married!"She giggled and looked at Jacob lovingly, and Tina stood there frozen for a minute trying to process what she had just heard. Soon a smile formed on her face and she said,
"That's great news! Congratulations!" Tina walked over to them, giving them both large hugs. Surprisingly she didn't feel remotely angry at the fact Queenie was marrying a muggle, all she felt was joy and excitement for her sister, that she would be completely happy with this man, even if he was a muggle.
"I am so glad you didn't freak out Teenie. I was worried that you would be angry..."
"No, I'm really happy for you guys. I think I've changed greatly since I've met you, Jacob." But soon something dawned on Tina, and her face fell as her realization sunk in.
"Wait... that means..." Tina knew it was true, for the look of worry on Queenie's face said it all.
"...We have to move to England. But Tina, just come and live there too! I mean, Newt is there also..." Tina sighed.
"I-I can't Queenie. I would love to, but my job is here and so is my home. My entire life is here." Queenie looked thoughtful for a moment, before suggesting,
"So come with us over your break. Be with us while you can." Queenie took her hands and stared into her sister's eyes, pleading silently. Tina's mouth quirked up a little and agreed.
"Alright. Fine. I'll come with you guys to England." Queenie smiled, while Jacob clapped his hands together in excitement.
"We get to see Newt again!" He yelled excitedly, happy for the opportunity to see his friend again. Queenie hugged Tina with pure excitement, and Tina smiled widely, her heart pounding, overjoyed at the thought of seeing Newt again. Of course, they had been sending letters back and forth to each other, but it still wasn't the same as talking face to face.
"I'll send Newt a letter to tell him we're coming." Tina speed walked to her and Queenie's room, excited to share the news with Newt. She knew he would be absolutely delighted. She grabbed a piece of parchment from her desk and began to write, trying to hurry so it could be sent out as fast as possible. When she finished, she sealed it into an envelope, tying it to the foot of their mailing owl Charlie. She lifted the window as he perched on her arm, and sent him out of the window, watching as his figure got smaller and smaller until he was a tiny little speck in the sky. Knowing she couldn't wait for a reply, she closed the window as she sat at her desk, smiling to herself as she enjoyed the little moment of joy she knew wouldn't last forever.

Chapter one is here!!!!!!!!!!!! What did you guys think? Queenie and Jacob are getting married! Yay!! The beginning is quite happy. ;) *wink wink*.
So I mowed the lawn today in the rain. That was not fun. It was fine for the first couple of minutes but then it started to rain at a steady pace, drizzling, not pouring, thank God. But I still did get a little wet and cold. >-< I got stuck in the mud a bunch of times which is SOOO annoying, (Btw our lawnmower is a ride one, not a push mower.) and when I came back inside somehow I got mud on my hand. Literally, I have no idea how it got there. Stupid mud. sO diRtY aND StiCkY aNd iT gETs iN ThE fRIckEn wAy AGHHH
