At the end of the school day Kazuki's mobile buzzed in his trouser pocket as he closed his locker door. He'd barely hovered the android over his ear when Father Benjamin's voice came through.

"Kazuki... I need to speak with you. Can you meet me in my classroom?"

"I'll be there in five minutes."

From the sound of the priest's voice, it was a matter of urgency but he hadn't expected Iliana's presence. The priest encouraged him with a nod to sit on the seat next to her. Instead he settled his school bag atop the oak table and leant on the sturdy furniture a couple of places from the designated place offered to him.

"We have a new revelation." Father Benjamin announced as Kazuki crossed his arms over his chest. "Iliana..."

The girl's gaze lifted from the ground at the sound of her name and obeyed with a nod. "In the wine cellar at the warehouse, there was a figure with an astoundingly powerful aura... a presence I'd felt once before."

Kazuki caught Father Benjamin's quick glance, he knew what the priest was thinking. He had forgotten to mention that auras were no longer just his speciality.

"...That figure somehow had the ability to control my Gift and it told me a riddle of information regarding a connection and a trial... and if I were to fail that trial, then my soul and many others will suffer!"

"What kind of connection and trial?" Father Benjamin questioned eagerly.

She shrugged. "It wasn't explained further."

"And the figure?" Kazuki asked, without looking directly at her.

There was a pause. "Although it was covered in black clothing, there were certain... memorable features, like the fiery eyes and the tattoos of a bird down the sides of both of its hands."

Kazuki's eyes fell directly on Iliana. "Lucas...?"

"Lucas...!" Father Benjamin parroted, his eyebrows raised so high it almost reached his hairline. "Lucas Baddesley?"

"That was my initial thought when I encountered him this morning and saw those tattoos... but apart from arrogance, there were no other aura about him."

Kazuki couldn't restrain the lift from the corner of his lips, she had attitude.

"...When I accidentally bumped into him at lunch, I confronted him... which proved to be rather unsuccessful on my half." She continued.

At the corner of his eye, Kazuki saw Iliana's gaze hovering in his direction. That explains a few things from the lunchtime encounter. Although there were the odd things different with Lucas since the coma, there was no way he could be the body of the formidable presence. Surely no human could conceal such a powerful aura?

"Even so... there is someone or even something lurking out there with strong powers of its own." Father Benjamin said, leaning on the solid table between the chalk board and the first row of seats. "Our challenges seem to be growing ever quicker."

"So... all of you felt that presence at the warehouse too?" Iliana asked, shifting on the seat.

Kazuki met the priest's gaze briefly once again.

"Well..." The priest began slowly as if choosing his words wisely. "Not all of us are gifted with the same abilities... it's what makes all of us unique."

"Was there anything else to add to this meeting?" Kazuki questioned.

"There was one other thing was there not Iliana?" Father Benjamin reminded, turning to the girl again.
