(Chapter 28 )
I groaned and lay on the bed, I just finished talking to my lawyer who has posted the trail for Monday of next week. Which was conveniently after the wedding, which was great, hopefully it would be fast and to the point.
“Ash get up, don’t get your tux wrinkled,” Mitch hissed at me, I groaned and sat up while taking my phone with me. it was the day of the wedding and I was lonely without my Gabby. They wouldn’t let me see her, which was stupid because that rule only applied to the groom, I was definitely not the groom, not that I wouldn’t mind being the groom but back to the point I missed her. I grinned as I got a text back.
“Look Mitch she missed me too,” I exclaimed pointing to my phone in happiness, I smiled and texted back that I missed her more with a pouty face.
“Ash you’re such a loser,” Jesse mumbled shaking his hand I flipped him off.
“You’re just jealous of our relationship, and you hate the fact that Gabriel was never and never will be attracted to you,” I stated I grinned in triumph as he glared and walked away.
“Ash stop now stand up and fix your tie,” I groaned and listened to my dad who was frowning at me in disapproval. I shrugged and looked in the mirror frowning at the tux, since we couldn’t change the wedding colors back to the light green ‘we’ as in Sarah decided to make all the grooms men wear light green ties with a little green flower on our vest pocket, I guess we looked alright, but Mitch had on the same black suit, but instead of green he had on a purple vest and a matching purple tie with a purple tulip instead of the stupid flower I had. I sighed at least I didn’t have to wear a vest.
“Dad you ready,” I asked since Sarah’s father had passed away when she was younger she had asked my father to walk her down the isle and do the father daughter dance. I’m sure he was shocked, but happy because we sure an hell wasn’t doing a father daughter dance at my wedding that would be so awkward with both of us in tux’s dancing together. I shuttered at the thought before laughing at the message on my phone. She said she had missed me more, but that was impossible. I texted her my thought with a smiley face.
“Ash put the phone up, we’re about to start,” My dad instructed I nodded texting her again telling her that I would see her down the isle.“Well lets make a brief toast to Mitch last minutes of freedom,” Andrew said with a grin, I laughed and took up the cup. Friday we had the bachelor party at our other house, it was a blast I had a few drinks along with everyone else then the strippers came, it was your typical bachelors party and it was fun. Although Gabriel gave me a set of rules to follow which basically told me I could look, but I couldn’t touch or think about touching. Which was fine with me because Gabriel was a much better strip tease than they were.
“To freedom,” we all tilted back our glasses drowning the drink before we headed out to the chapel. We went through the back, Mitch stepped in and stood at the alter. So since we all couldn’t be the best man we decided to play a game, it was a shot game I won so I was the best man well technically the best woman or whatever you call it.
“Alright you four go the bridesmaids are coming down soon, go with your partners best man to the back with the maid of honor,” This was Shelia the wedding coordinator she was really organized too organized if you ask me. We all got in our perspective from shortest to tallest with me in the back either way I was going to be in the back because I was the best man.
