We Don't Have Forever || An Aidan Gallagher Fanfiction

I arrived back home, but I still couldn't comprehend what had just happened. When I got into the house I went to tell my mom everything that happened.

"How was exploring the city?" asked my mom.
"It was amazing. I met this boy who had beautiful green eyes and he showed me around the city."
"Well I'm glad you had fun tonight." my mom said smiling.

I thought about telling her about the kiss, but I wanted it to be a secret, for now at least. I then got a text from Aidan.

Aidan💞: Hey beautiful. Tonight was amazing!
Me: Yea. Tonight was the best night ever
Aidan💞: Do you want to do it again sometime?
Me: Of course! How does tomorrow night sound?
Aidan💞: Great! We can go to my favorite vegan restaurant. I'll pick you up around 7pm
Me: Sounds great. I can't wait!

I couldn't fall asleep thinking about the kiss and tomorrow night.

The next day.

I woke up and took a shower and then got ready for the day. I put in my favorite cropped sweatshirt from Urban Outfitter, some high- waisted ripped light wash jeans, and my checkered Vans. It as still pretty early so I went to the kitchen to get something to eat. I had avocado toast and a glass of water. After I ate I went to the studio. I wasn't quite sure how everything worked, but I decidedly just go in to look around.

It was 6:55pm when I heard a knock at the door. I got up and ran to the door. When I opened the door I saw Aidan standing there smiling.

"Are you ready?" he asked nervously.
"I've been ready since you texted me." I said with sarcasm in my voice.

We left the house and started toward the restaurant. When we arrived at the restaurant we sat at a booth towards the back.

After about 10 minutes of silence I finally decided to ask "So, tell me a little more about yourself?"
"Well as I already told you I act, sing, and I play the guitar and piano. But I only started acting because I wanted to be a director so I started acting to see how it was to be on a set."
"I've always wanted to act but have never really got into it."
"Well tell me a little more about you." said Aidan.
"I love singing and photography. And when I was born I had what is called a Giant Congenital Nevis which is basically a large mole that covered the whole left side of my head. Which is why I have so many scars."

Aidan looked at me in shock.

"I've had over 10 surgeries to fix it but my left eye is droopy from the doctors accidentally hitting a nerve. My parents had known that was a possibility, but having a droopy eye is better than still having the nevus."
"Jesus Maela, you've been through a lot. I couldn't even imagine how hard it's been in you and your family." Aidan looked amazed.
"Yea, but I don't let it bring me down, well i at least try not to. I've gained a lot of confidence though this though, with my scars. My hair covers then for the most part so they aren't very noticeable."
"No matter what other people or you think about your scars, just know that I think you're beautiful just the way you are."

Aidan reached across the table and tucked my hair behind my ear revealing my scars.

I reached my hand up to stop him when he said "No, no, leave it. I want to see the real you."

I started to blush. Aidan must have noticed because he smiled at me.

Our food arrived. After we finished eating we got up and heading for the door. As I walked toward the door I felt dizzy and nauseous. My lags gave out from under me throwing me to the ground. My had slammed on the ground and before I knew it everything was black.

Aidan's POV

"Help" I yelled "Somebody, anybody, help!" I wasn't sure what just happened but I saw Maela lying in the ground. I kneltdown next to her and presses my ear against her chest. There was no heartbeat. She was unconscious.

I lay there next to her sobbing. I was mad at myself for not trying to catch her her or do something to help her. But I knew it probably wouldn't have helped. I looked at her again with my eyes still full of tears causing my vision to blur. I rested my hand on her cheek and kissed her.

After about 10 minutes an ambulance finally arrived. I called her parents to let them know that happened and they rushed over as soon as I called.

"What happened to her?" asked her father.
"Honestly I don't know. We were walking toward the door to leave and her legs went out from underneath her. Next thing I knew she was lying on the ground unconscious."
"Well let's just pray for the best and that she is okay." said her mother.

I began to start sobbing again seeing her being loaded into the ambulance.
