Maela's POV

Time skip to when Maela gets home

The second i arrived home I ran as quickly as I could into the house. I threw myself onto the couch in the living room. Aidan running behind me. He smiled and sat down next to me.

"I bet it feels nice to be back." He said looking at me.

I smiled wide. "It feels amazing."

He out his hand on my face. "But don't get to excited. We don't need you going back to the hospital."

The doctors told me that the reason I fainted was most likely from getting overwhelmed of excitement. But they weren't exactly sure why the excitement caused it to happen. They told me to take it easy for a few days until I got used to being back.

I reached up and touched his hand. "Oh I will. I don't want to go back to that place anytime soon."

I had been there so many times I didn't want to ever see that place again.

"I'll try not to get you to excited." He chuckled

I smiled and gently kissed his lips. He kissed back softly. I pulled back and smiled. "I'm glad I gave you with me." I moved over on the couch and held out my arms for him to lay next to me.

"I'll always be here." He said and lay into my arms.

I heard the door open and looked up. I saw someone come through the door and run towards me.

"Maela. Maela. Maela." It was my younger brother Jack. He ran towards me with his arms out wide. Until he noticed an unfamiliar face next to me. He stopped. Looked at Aidan. Then back to me. "Why is there a boy lying next to you?" Jack asked confused.

Jack stayed with my grandparents while I was in the hospital. They came to visit me once, but Aidan wasn't there.

"Jack this is Aidan" I said pointing to Aidan, "aidan this is my little brother Jack."

Aidan looked to Jack and smiled. "Nice to meet you Jack."

Jack didn't say anything. He instead looked at the both of us still on the couch. "Maela, is he your boyfriend?"

"I-I-um..." I looked at Aidan. He looked at me confused. I whispered in his ear so Jack couldn't hear us. "Can I talk to you in the kitchen for a second?" Aidan nodded. "We'll be right back." I said to Jack, "have a seat on the couch and wait for us."

I stood up off the couch and walked to the kitchen. Aidan following behind me.

I stood at the kitchen island across from Aidan and looked at him. "We haven't discussed this yet. What are we exactly? What is this?"

"What do you want it to be?" He asked and held his hands out across the table.

"I-I want it to be us. I want us together." I grabbed his hands and held them. "I-I love you Aidan Gallagher."

He moved around the island so he was standing next to me, still holding my hands. He turned me around so I was facing him. "I love you too Maela Anderson." He looked into my eyes and pressed his lips on mine. "It's official."

"It's official." I assured him.

I held out my hand. Aidan took it intertwining our fingers. We walked out of the kitchen back to the living room.

When we walked into the living room I saw my parents sitting on the couch next to Jack. I nervously looked to Aidan and then to Jack and my parents still holding Aidan's hand. He squeezes it gently to tell me it was okay. "Yes Jack, Aidan is my boyfriend."
