The same night

"So.....it just bit you, growled in your face, then took off?" Louis was sat on his bed trying to make sense of what Harry was telling him. "That literally makes no sense. Why didn't it just kill you?" He asked confused.

"For someone who was crying when he 'thought' I was dead, you really sound like you wanted me dead." Harry rests his hand on his now bandaged arm.

They were in Louis' room talking about what just happened.

"I heard a wolf howling, maybe that was what bit you." He turned to Harry.

Harry laughed at his friend. "Really Louis, we both know there are no wolves in Alladay. The pacts that didn't die from the outbreak migrated, remember?"

"Yeah." Louis trailed off. "But that outbreak was forty years ago, it stopped affecting the wolves fifteen years after, who knows if any packs came back in the past twenty to twenty-five years or any that could be moving in now?" Louis spoke thoughtfully before going over to his computer and started typing.

The Eroda Outbreak

"The Eroda outbreak of 1978 was caused by a behavioral study on wolves by the island's greatest minds. It started in the year 1977 and was meant to shape the hostile mentality of the animal, making them a more tamed species, however, the serum used for the experiment was rendered useless, and it did the absolute opposite. It acted in phases. Firstly, The subject wolf's hunger would increase rapidly. Secondly, they grew more hostile and inflamed by the hour, soon after they started foaming at the mouth at an unexplainable rate as their hostility continued to grow before they would die after a few hours." Louis read looking over at Harry and raising a brow before continuing.

"However for a whole year, the scientist continued the study drastically minimizing the population of wolves in Alladay and Eroda in general. Later that year a subject wolf escaped killing almost everyone in the lab. The wolf ventured into the open causing multiple wolf attacks and spreading the disease to other wolves, causing some packs to migrate throughout the island's counties or anywhere that was disease free. Alladay Crescent was in a state of terror for a week and forced to go into lockdown for months, no one could enter the county and no one could leave, not until the scientists remaining were sure the disease was not harmful to humans. There has never been a wolf in the county of Alladay since." Louis finished.

"What do you say about that, this article was written last year." He added.

"I say I'm glad I was born in the twenty-first century," Harry says bluntly rolling over his stomach on Louis' bed. "I think we should sleep on it, plus we have training tomorrow evening. Harry spoke tiredly.

"Okay, I'm going to go get a cup of tea," Louis says standing and going over to the door. Harry rolled his eyes at his friend's strange habit.

* * * * *

Harry was dreaming.

He was running like any other human, but faster, faster than he had ever ran in his life.

The feeling was exhilarating.

The air was strong mixtures of pine and mahogany trees spread out around him.

He could see everything in sight down to the detail of the bark on the trees as he passed them by.

His hearing was focused, he listen closely to the nature around him, birds and other animals, oddly none of this wildlife were insight.

Then he felt an urge.... An urge to...before he knew it he doubled over, running on all fours.

And if he thought he was fast before then well damn.
