I wake up the sun pouring through my window and the smell of food being cooked down stairs. I hop into the shower doing what I need to then get out. I change into my high waisted distressed shorts a white cropped sweater some knee socks and my white vans.

I do make up and straighten my hair adding a hat before walking down stairs.

"Goodmorning." Dean said looking up from the omelette he was making

" morning." I say going around him and snag a piece of bacon

" hey cook your own!" He playfully yelled and I giggled grabbing my keys and waving bye with a smile before leaving

I hop in my car deciding to go see my best friend in the whole world Madison. It's been a minute since I've seen her and I need a girls day.

• 30 minutes later

I pull into her house and honk twice before I see her appear at the door. I grab my gun from between my seat and slide it on my hip before grabbing my stuff and walking up to her with a smile and giving her a hug.

" ow Jesus do you always gotta carry that thing." She said laughing slightly letting me inside

" Madi you know where I come from don't even ask that." I said rolling my eyes laughing with her

" so let me get dressed and I thought we could go get brunch somewhere." She spoke and I nodded sitting in the living room

She came down a few minutes later and we hop in my car going to SUR restaurant.

We pull in and get out, and go inside and we are seated immediately.

" so what's been up with you girl?" She asks right as the waitress walks up

" hello ladies what can I get y'all to drink." The woman smiled

" a mimosa for me and whatever she's having." Madi says returning to the menu

" uh Jameson whiskey straight in the rocks salt on the rim please." I said and the woman took our order and walked away

" and to answer your question some crazy shit happened yesterday/last night." I said softly and her eyes got wide

" details now, how hot was he, where's he from, is his dick big?" She smirked while laughing and I shook my head rolling my eyes.

" I might have gotten taken captive." I said and her eyes got wide and jokes got pushed aside.

I told her everything that happen and she sat there awestruck of what she was hearing.

" so you can either go for bad boy Luh who does lord knows what or you have Nate the sweetheart badass who trains you almost everyday out of the week." She giggled

" shut up, this isn't about them. Well I mean kinda but Ryder said I had answer he wanted." I said sipping my Jameson.

" what the hell could that mean." She said and as I look around I notice a familiar face sitting a few tables back behind Madi.

" stay here." I tell her getting up and walking closer to him

" what are you doing here?" I ask him and he looks up at me

" hey sweetness, didn't expect to see you here." Derek spoke with a small smile

I sat down looking at him sternly

" did you follow me?" I ask looking around

" I did I'm sorry but it's for your protection." He spoke softly and I rolled my eyes folding my arms

" I have protection clearly you haven't seen my smith&wesson 686 long barrel on my hip. I got myself Derek." I said and he chuckled biting his oh so perfect lips. Jesus stop yourself alessa.

" yeah I saw it and it's hot but seriously, my dad has all his guys looking for you, he keeps saying you have answers he needs." He said smirking at first then getting serious

I sit up more interested in what he has to say.

" meet me here at 9:30 tonight. It's somewhere only you and I will know about so it's safe, now get back to your friend babygirl I'll see you later." He slightly smirked with a wink getting up and walking away

I walk back to Madison struck by what just happened.

" what the hell just happened?" She asked as I started to eat

" I'll tell you later." I say shaking my head and she shrugs as we continue to talk about life

After about 4-5 drinks for me and the same for her we pay the bill and leave heading back to her house. I told her what happened and SUR and now she's even more surprised.

We get inside her house sitting on the couch she has her wine and I have my Jameson once again we continue drinking.

" so now everyone of Ryder's men are looking for YOU specifically?" She asks breaking me of my thoughts

" I mean yeah apparently that's what Derek said." I said shaking my head

" what if he's just trying to trap you so his father won't blow his head off." Madi said not making me feel better about the situation

I give her a death glare and she laughs giving me a hug.

" look just go strapped up, but you really should tell dean and your dad, maybe Nate too, you never know if you'll need back up." She says and I stand up finishing my drink and gave her a small hug

" I will thank you for lunch girly, I'll talk to you later." I say walking out of her house and to my car heading back to my house.

Oh god I know once I tell dean and my dad what happened they'll flip. I have to handle this situation by myself and no one else but me. I don't want to get anyone hurt.
