“Bella! Get down already! Breakfast is ready!” A masculine voice shouted outside of my room.
Because of that, I quickly stood up from my bed and fixed it before taking a shower. I removed every cloth I wore last night and put them in a basket just outside my bathroom. The warm water from shower greeted me by hitting first in my face. I squirmed because of the hotness of water. I quickly adjusted the temperature and got back from daydreaming.
After I finished having a bathe, I ran towards the closet and looked for my Wednesday uniform. I took the uniform, removed the hanger and immediately wore it. I fixed my snowy white hair before going downstairs only to see Papa fixing the table for me.
I hugged Papa from behind, giving me a shocked look but then smiled back at me. He placed the plate he’s holding then turned around, reached me and carried me in his muscular arms.
“I almost dropped your plate.” He said with scare in his tone. But it changed after he tickled me. “Be thankful I held it firmly.” He smiled at me while kissing my cheeks.
He leaned down to drop me steadily and prepared my seat. I sat on the chair and Papa sat on the left side of the table. While we were eating, we talked about something.
“Aren’t you excited today? Today is your first day as a Grade 3 student.” He said while chewing on his food, spoon and fork lying beside his plate and still holding them.
Oh yeah! Today is my first day as a Grade 3 student. But I don’t felt like entering to school today. Why? Because of things that doesn’t need to talk about it. “I’m not, Pa.” I said with sadness filling already in my eyes.
“Hey! What’s the matter?” He laid his spoon then moved close to me. “Is there something that’s bothering you, Bella?”
I just lifted my head and smiled, trying to forget everything. “I’m just kidding, Pa! Of course, I’m excited! I can’t wait to meet new friends in school.” I said in a fake, joyful manner.
He only smiled a little but it showed loneliness in his smile even I don’t directly look at his eyes. “Is that so? Then will you let me had the opportunity to visit your school?”
“Dad? Are you kidding me? Of course, you’re allowed to visit our school.”
After that, I packed my things upstairs and went down to meet Dad at his car. I went in beside the driver’s seat. As I got in, the car’s engine started immediately and he drove me to school.
Time passed so fast that we reached already my school, Saint Teresa Elementary School. This is the school where nuns and priests teach in a very low tuition fee. It’s almost ideal to study in this school .But like I said, It’s almost ideal. Even this school is a Christian school; I hated to make another step closer to the gate. Most of them bullied me because of my white, snowy hair. This unique difference in me thought that I came from another world. I’m so different at them they treated me as a stranger and called me names like Grandma, Snow Grandma, Snowwoman, and others that related to being old or snow. I didn’t tell this to my father because I’m scared to death that they might bullied me more.
I wake up from my deep thoughts as Papa shook my shoulder. “Hey!” He kneeled in front of me. “Are you okay?”
“Yup, Pa. I’m fine. You can leave now. I can take care of myself.” I smiled, trying to hide my pain.
