“Bella? Are you ready?” my uncle entered the room without hesitation and full hope in his eyes. Before he could fully enter the room, he paused a bit and stared at me like he’s seeing a ghost. “Bella, is that you? Or I’m just seeing my niece in my dreams?” he joked.

“Uncle Sherwin? How could you? Of course, it’s me. Would I be your niece if I’m not beautiful in your eyes?” I chuckled a bit before glancing myself back in the mirror.

He walked closed to me and held my shoulders. We both stared at the image in the mirror. “You already looked beautiful, for me, without your make-up. But your gown already gave emphasis on how you look like your mother.” he kissed my left cheek before separating his hands on me. “Your groom is waiting already for you.” He smiled then left the room.

By the way, my name’s Bella Rifewood Havinado. Yes, I’m half American and Filipino due to my mom was an American. The guy I’ve been talking to was my mother’s brother, Uncle Sherwin Rifewood. My mom’s not here today because she died after she gave me birth. Because of this incident, it’s been a hard time for me to look for a mother’s love. But because my father is so loyal to my mother, he didn’t marry another woman and stayed single father until now and gave everything he had for me not to rebel on finding a mother’s love.

There’s one time that I almost rebelled because he didn’t gave immediately what I have wanted. I already know it that it’s bad for me but I keep struggling for more of it. I even almost left the house and to live alone with my ex-boyfriend. But thanks to that special incident, it completely changed my mind.

“Bella, be ready at 15 min. Teehee! You’re so gorgeous today! I can’t believe my BFF could be so beautiful as a goddess.” Angel entered the room after she gave me warning.

“Come on, Angel. Stop teasing me already! I don’t like already the way you say ‘goddess’ in front of me.”

“Okay, fine! I’ll be waiting outside.” She left the room before I could glance back at her.

While wasting my time waiting for my groom to come, I relaxed myself in the couch, staring the beautiful scenery outside the window and happily recalling everything, even how my mom met my father, that happen before I got to this point…
