Ink was just awakening, already with some sort of headache that had been persistently bothering him since last night. He knew what to do, so he went down to the kitchen to search for his "Rainbow pills", once he found them he passed them down with some water and didn't move until they had an effect on him, once they did he went upstairs to take a bath, then he made breakfast. He brushed his teeth and started heading over to Dream's house.
When he got there he knocked the door six times in a funny melody and soon enough the door opened revealing Dream behind it, he was in his pijama's and didn't take long to greet Ink.
-Hi Inky!- Dream giggled
-Heya Dream- Ink smiled at him as he entered the house.
-It seems you can arrive early, but only when you want- said Dream with a great smirk.
But the moment didn't last long as the mood was broken by Nightmare getting out of the shower upstairs with a towel tied around his waist, showing his chest, he was still wet from the shower. Ink and him locked eyes for a second and promptly Night raised his middle finger up at Ink all the walk to his own room, not bothering to look at him again.
-Well, that was nice- said Ink while Dream gave him a "don't worry" look.
- Cross is upstairs, shall we go? - Dream asked.
-sure!- Ink responded as he had already started to race Dream to the room. They slowed down right in front of the door and gently opened it. There, in the center of the room was Cross drawing something.
The room was rather "Dreamy" the walls were yellow, the bed sheets were too, the walls were painted with a warm sunny yellow just like the one coming through the window's curtains.
Ink slowly crept over to where Cross was sitting, his back turned to them, he went slowly and took a peek at the drawing, it was a sketch of him.
That was so cute, Ink couldn't stop the heat from climbing up his cheekbones so he bent down and gave him a surprise hug.
Ink hid the blush in Cross's fluffy jacket.
-Ah!...I-Ink?- Said Cross as he felt someone startle him from behind, he knew it wasn't Dream because when he turned he saw him standing by the door and he was waiting for both of them, then Cross felt Ink's soft breathing and knew it was him so he quickly hid the drawing he had.
-Nice art~- Said Ink making Cross know he had already seen the drawing, a blush spread through Cross's face turning him into a grape.
-I have no idea why you'd draw me though...- Said Ink still embarrassed as Dream walked over to them.
Dream bent down and took the drawing from Cross's hands he had looked at it for a while when his face brightened in a beautiful way, then he said. -"Cross, This is gorgeous! We have to find a special place for it!"- Ink and Cross laughed as they stood up with Dream who was already finding a place to stick it. He finally hung it and the three sat on the floor to chat until the doorbell rang again. Dream went out to open the door leaving Ink and Cross alone, they were casually talking about changes and going back to school when Dream came back with a cheerful and fully charged Berry who went straight over to hug Ink and then give an energetic handshake to Cross. Blue settled himself between Cross and Ink, really attached to Ink, and then they started to normally talk again.
-Hey Blue! I heard you were going to be performing the speech at the opening ceremony this year, is that true?- Said Cross curious to know.
-Oh yes! The principal thought that it would be a good idea that I, the magnificent Blue, gave a motivational speech this new year. After all, this is a really important year for some of us - Blue finished looking around at everyone to signal he was referring to themselves.
They passed some other moments together sharing and laughing before Ink said
-I better get going-
- But it's still too early- Blue protested.
-Yeah...- Said Cross looking a little disappointed.
- Sorry, but I was planning to spend the afternoon with Fresh, I hope you don't mind- Ink politely said.
- Don't worry Inky, it's no biggie- Even though he said it, he didn't really mean it...
-Thank you Dreamy boy, Bye!- He said as he left the room and then the house.
Meanwhile, inside the room Blue and Dream muttered "I wish I had a boyfriend like him, so dilligent" Cross lightly blushed.
Ink walked to Fresh's house, it was a long walk to say the least, he even thought of taking the bus. When he got there he remembered what had happened yesterday with Error and knocked on the door rapidly getting away from it. Gladly, this time it was opened by Geno who kindly greeted him and let him in.
Sitting on the couch was Fresh and Ink did not hesitate one bit to go running over to hug him. Fresh knew it was Ink so he hugged him back and turned to kiss him. The kiss lasted some seconds and Ink ended up with a fully blushed face and heart pupils pretty much begging for more.
Fresh's glasses turned to "Cu'te" and he gave Ink another kiss, this time shorter. Then, Ink went over to sit on the couch, next to Fresh to start cuddling beside him. They spent the afternoon like that. Hugging, exchanging compliments and sharing small kisses every now and then. Geno made some hot chocolate and tea. Everyone went down to drink it. Even Error! who seemed to avoid eye contact. It all went down peacefully. Then Ink had to leave, he thanked Geno for everything and gave a goodbye kiss to Fresh which Error got sickened by and went to lock himself in his room before Ink could say goodbye to him.
By the time he had gotten home his headache had revived. He went into the kitchen and searched for his "Rainbow pills" which he easily found. He passed them with a glass of water and waited for them to have an effect on him. He ate, brushed his teeth and went to sleep...
He had a Nightmare.
