I grabbed my backpack and left the classroom with an eye roll and slamming the door.

Looks like more detention...

My mom'll be pissed when she finds out I got detention and it's only Monday.

Oh well. It's not like I care.

I made my way to the office and sat down on those crappy, fake leather chairs. And waited, and waited, and wait- okay I didn't wait that long.

After maybe five or ten minutes I heard the door open. I expected the secretary or the principal to walk in, but instead, Lucas walked in.

"Oh hey, Lavy! What you doing outta class?" he asked loudly. He always spoke in a loud almost annoying voice.

"Sup Luke. Just annoyed Ms Johnson again. Nothing much. You?" I asked as he took a seat next to me.

"Nahh, just got caught getting some, ya know." he replied with a wink and one of his infamous smirks.

Not gonna lie, that's kinda gross but I forced out a laugh anyway.

I pulled out my phone and scrolled on Instagram until the door opened once again, only this time the principal walked in.

He let out a heavy sigh as his eyes landed on me. I put my phone away again as he put his coffee mug down.

"Avery, my office! Now!" Principal Marcus yelled. Damn, what's gotten into him?

I got up sluggishly and said a goodbye to Lucas as I walked slowly to the principals' office.

The door was already open so I just went in and closed the door behind me. I sat down on an all too familiar chair. I put my feet up on the desk as I smirked at Mr Marcus.

He rolled his eyes, with a sigh in annoyance. This only amused me even more.

"Miss Avery, you do realize this is your 6th time in my office... This month?" he said, raising an eyebrow.

"I know how to count, sir."

He rolled his eyes once again.

"You'll have detention tomorrow with Mr David. You're on your last warning, Lavender. If you're in my office one more time; you'll be expelled." he said, a slight smirk plastered on his face.

I tried not to let the panic on my face show. I can't be expelled. What about Madison?

"Yeah yeah." I said faking my annoyance. How am I gonna tell Madison...?

A few boring classes later, it was finally lunch time. I shoved my books into my bag, not really caring. I didn't really study much, yet I had good marks.

I pushed my way to my locker. I hate large crowds.

Once I made it to my locker I took out the books I'd need for the next two hours and walked outside.

Our school had a large field for soccer and even a tiny garden. There were benches/chairs all over to sit on. Madison, Lucas and I usually sit near the field, to watch people play.

Some people just sit on the grass in groups and talk, some of the nerds study. Lucas doesn't always sit with us. It happens in random patterns.

Most of the time it's just Madison and I. We just talk, some times we listen to music or play games on our phones.

Once I approached the table I saw Madison and Lucas deep in conversation. Just before I reached the table, Madison and Lucas start bursting out with laughter.
