Distant, Yet so Close (PrinceXGoggles)

Chapter 2

Vmmmm.... Vmmmm.....

It was the next day after Prince and Goggles had met up for hot chocolate at his mansion. Prince was in the middle of watching a favorite show of his in his room when his phone suddenly went off. He reached over to his nightstand and checked his phone screen. Surely enough, it was Goggles. His face quickly lit up and he swiped the screen without hesitation before holding it up to his ear.

"Hello?" Prince spoke with a sweet happy voice.

"Heya Prince!" Goggles squeaked on the other end. "Since the sky's all cleared up and it's nice n' warm out, why don't we hang out again today?" Prince silently beamed at Goggle's suggestion. "O-Of course! Where should we go?" Prince's excitement showed through his tone of voice.
"How about the shopping district? It's a train ride away from the square!" Prince thought for a moment before agreeing. "Alrighty, I'll see you at the station in an hour!" Goggles said before hanging up.

After showering and getting dressed, he took one last glance in his mirror before heading out the front door. His walk felt like it was taking forever and he feared that he would be late. But his worries melted away upon realizing that Goggles always shows up to meetings late. Once he reached the station, he stood by the tracks, glancing around awaiting the arrival of his sweet Goggles. Finally, Goggles came charging in, and surprisingly at the moment when the subway train pulled up. 

They smiled at each other before quickly pacing onto the train car and taking their seats.
They sat close to one another, Goggles spacing out with a smile on his face. Prince held back a sweet smile before looking down at one of Goggle's hands. His face grew a little hot and he felt the urge to hold his hand. His pinkie finger twitched as he attempted to inch his finger closer to Goggle's hand. Everything else in the background began to fade and noises and voices became muffled.

"...ince...prince...? Prince? Priiiiiiiince?" a voice slowly snapped him back into reality.

Prince quickly glanced up, only to find Goggles staring at him, an eyebrow raised in curiosity.

"You alright, buddy?" Goggles asked. "You were spacin' out for a moment, buddy!" he said, half giggling.

After the train ride ended, the pair got up and departed to their destination.

Upon their arrival, the two widened their eyes in absolute awe when they laid their eyes on the large shopping district. The area was bustling, full of giant stores with many different floors or small street shops that sold knickknacks and souvenirs or snacks. So many places to explore... And to get lost in...

Prince stifled a small whimper at the thought of losing his precious Goggles for even one minute. It spooked him out of his skin. He took a deep breath while glancing down at Goggle's hand.

'It's now or never...'

Mustering all the courage he had, Prince gently grasped Goggle's hand, a small blush washing over his face. He nearly jumped out of his skin upon feeling Goggles strengthen his grip on Prince's hand.

"This place is huge. Don't wanna get lost! Stick close to me, 'kay?" Goggles said before flashing Prince a big goofy grin.

Prince's small blush flared, causing his face to become redder than a tomato.

"O-Of course!"
