Prince was curled up on his bed, sobbing his little eyes out. He rubbed his pink puffy eyes and gazed upward, noticing the plush Goggles had gotten him before they got together. He snarled and snatched it off of his nightstand, violently shredding it. He tore its head off in a fit of rage. Prince slung its stuffing everywhere before chucking its remains off of his bed.

His haze of anger faded into the pitiful sadness it was before. He cupped his face into the palms of his hands, sobbing even louder than the last time. He didn't even notice someone open the door.

"Prince?" it was N-Pacer. "Prince, dear what's the matter?" It sounded so weird hearing someone as serious as N-Pacer sound so genuinely concerned. Prince merely shook his head, not wanting N-Pacer to get involved in the mess Goggles started. This earned a concerned but stern "Prince." from N-Pacer.

"We both know you're lying. Tell me what's wrong, Prince."

His face scrunched up and turned a bright red before he hugged onto N-Pacer's torso and sobbed loudly. He babbled incoherent nonsense as he let his tears flow. He could feel N-Pacer rub his back and rest her head against his.

"It's okay... Just let it out." she said before gently rocking her body back and forth, calming the young monarch down to tiny sniffles and sobs. "Now... Do you want to tell me what's the matter, Prince?" She didn't want to force the answer out of him, seeing how hurt he was.

As expected, he shook his head. N-Pacer sighed and let him go. "Listen, Prince. Lay down and get some rest, 'kay? I'll go get you some water."

Prince obeyed, laying down as he watched her leave and return with a glass of water. She handed it to him before tucking him in cozily.

He shakily drank from the cup before setting it onto his nightstand and resting his head, closing his puffy red eyes. He'd tired himself out with all of his screaming and crying and he was starting to doze off.

"Sleep as much as you need, dear. I'll be back in an hour or two." she spoke calmly before planting a small kiss on his forehead. She got up and left the room, softly shutting it before walking down the large staircase. The yellow inkling pulled out her phone and texted someone before tucking it back into her pocket. She picked up her motorcycle helmet along with her keys and made her way outside. After putting on her helmet, she hopped onto her motorcycle and placed her key into the ignition before driving away.

She steered past cars and wandering animals. She saw another motorcycle join at her side before they both sped away together.

They arrived at their destination. A bar N-Pacer would like to visit every now again with her friends. She hopped off her bike and took off her helmet, the other inkling doing the same.

"Glad to see you again, Rider."

The yellow green inkling looked a bit uneasy, but he greeted her nonetheless. "Hey, Pace.." His response caught her off guard. "What's going on with you today?" she inquired, raising a narrow brow. "N-Nothing. Let's just go get a drink."

The yellow inkling just shrugged it off before following her friend into the bar.

N-Pacer and Rider thanked the bartender upon receiving their drinks. She took a few sips every now and then, conversing with Rider about things that have recently been going on in their lives. Rider told N-Pacer a story that made them both have a hearty chuckle. Pacer's laugh faded as she remembered what state Prince was in.

"Y'know, Prince has been in a really downer mood lately." she brought up, clinking her fingers against her now empty glass. She instantly noticed Rider grimace. "Hey, what's the matter?" She asked him. He sighed and avoided her piercing yellow gaze. "Goggles and I are the reason Prince is so upset." N-Pacer thought that they might have had a little fight and said the wrong thing, and she thought nothing of it.

"Pssh. Just a petty scrap between friends. It happens. It'll be okay, all you ha-"

"It's not okay, Pace. It was more than just some silly little argument between us." he spoke up, cutting her off. This made her raise her brow in utter confusion.

Rider took a deep, but slightly shaky, breath before speaking once more.

"Goggles and Prince broke up... Because Goggles and I were in love the entire time. He.. He was only using Prince to forget about how much he loved me.." Rider finished. Pacer's eyes widened out of sheer shock and fury before she angrily growled. Her voice quaked as her anger consumed her.

"...What."
