The Blossom of Spring［ Stardew Valley ］

ｍａｙｏｒ ｌｅｗｉｓ

   IT'S MAYOR LEWIS' BIRTHDAY! I almost forgot, and I don't know what to give him. But I have some ideas.

   I prepared myself then headed out to check my mail, there was a few letter. The first one was blue, it says it's from the wizard. I bet he's the one living in the tower from before. It says that I should pay him a visit. Meh. Some other time.
   The other one was from Marnie...? It says that I should go at the Saloon later and help to prepare a surprise for the Mayor. Then I guess I have something for Lewis.

   I watered my crops, gave my dog water and pet him. After that I went inside my house and looked through my chest. I found some Quartz, I took one the placed it in my backpack.

   First, I need this Quartz to be wrapped so I went to Pierre's to buy wrapping paper.

   I went out and headed straight to the Saloon. I saw few townspeople, and they were already preparing. Marnie was arranging the tables, Gus was at the counter wiping off some glasses, Emily who was choosing drinks, and there was Pam.
   I talked to Marnie and she told me that I was assigned to the decor. I started to get the materials I was provided and started to do my work.

I placed some banners around the walls, sticked some balloons as well. I grabbed some cellophane and taped it around the lightbulbs to have fun shades of light, I made sure that they're safe and it was not touching the bulbs.

   FEW HOURS LATER

   Time check, 5:30 PM and I finished doing the decorations. The food was already cooked and served. Other townspeople are coming in already,  Marnie went out to look for Lewis by the Manor. I saw Robin and her family, Pierre and his, Alex with his grandparents and Haley too, as well as Jodi with Sam and Vincent, and at last Pam and her daughter Penny. The other kid other than Vincent, Jas is with Shane and Marnie by the way. The jukebox was once again playing some sweet music and other townspeople would dance to it.

I saw Sebastian with Sam and Abigail, I went up to them to asked, "What do you guys think about the decorations?" Yes, I asked them about my work.
   "Looks fun." said Sam

"It's okay, I'm not into it." said Abigail   
"Great." and Sebastian.

Well, maybe I did fine. "I really like the thing that made the light change." Sam added while staring into the light bulb, "It kind of made it more cozy and gentle, I guess." and looked at me.

"Yeah, I guess so too." I replied. "Did you make the decorations?" Sebastian asked pointing towards my work, "Why, yes of course. It's not really the best thing I've done soo..." "It's really good, Lemon." He nodded.

   I noticed that Abigail was staring at me, I gave her a confused look but then she just looked away. "Hey Sebastian, do you want to like, play with me in the arcade? Or play pool with Sam? I don't like being in here. It's too noisy." Abigail annoyingly said, while looking at me. "Sure, let's go." Sebastian replied, puts his hands on his pockets and started walking towards the pool, "Sam you coming?" looking at Sam, Abigail followed.
   I saw Sam holding a small game console, green light flashing through and hitting his face, "Nah man, you guys go have fun. I'll stay here with Lemon." Sam replied while playing and not even looking at his friends. Sebastian looked devastated, I guess he wanted to play pool with him.

   "I think you should go Sam, he wants to play with you." I looked at him leaning to a wall near the fireplace, crossing my arms. "I don't want to, he'll just beat me." Sam replied, "So? It's just a game dummy, nothing personal." I sneered at him. "Well yeah I know that, but sometimes I get furious and just couldn't take it." He sighed.

   A few minutes later, it was almost 6:00 and Mayor Lewis should be here right now with Marnie. I took the gift from my bag and placed it by one of the tables with the other gifts for Mayor Lewis as well. I decided to call Sebastian and Abigail to tell them that they should be in the main room but I saw them having fun playing Journey of the Prairie King and I couldn't help but just watch them. They were so happy and focused on the game itself, once the game was over, Abigail bounced and cheered while Sebastian just looked at her. Few second later, they noticed that I was watching, Abigail glared at me. "Hey Lemon." Sebastian greeted. "Hey. You guys should go back, Mayor Lewis is almost here." I replied and went back to where everyone was.

Somebody turned off the lights and everyone became silent. We heard a knock on the door and it slowly opened. "Uh, Marnie what is this?" Lewis asked. "Let me turn on the lights." I heard a click and then

"HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LEWIS!" Everyone greeted and cheered, others were holding a beer, especially Pam. Haley and Emily popped the Confetti poppers, and the kids were jumping around with party hats on their heads. Lastly, the rest would dance, clap, sing and blow their party horns. Lewis was very surprised and happy at the same time, "Thank you everyone!" He smiled.
