Chapter 11

Xavier's P.O.V.

It has been 3 days since I marked her and she is doing better each and every day.

I was holding her and talking to her as my phone started ringing.

"Hello?"

"Xavier it's me your mother when are you coming home?"

"I'll be home a few days after my mate wakes up and is ready to come with me"

"Xavier you have duties here. You need to come home today."

"That won't be happening mom she is my mate and I won't leave her behind and in danger."

"She is keeping you from your duties you are the king stop acting like a child!" She argued with me.

"You need to understand your place mom. I love you very much but this argument you are doing is completely unokay and disrespectful. And yes I am the king your king so you need to keep in line with that. Next I won't be hearing anymore about my mate keeping me from anything!" I answered my wolf growling at her.

She didn't have a choice but to submit to my words since my alpha tone slipped out.

"She's awake" someone said 

In seconds I was back in the doorway with her beautiful eyes staring directly into mine.

I couldn't tell what she was feeling her expression was stoic almost as if she wasn't seeing me.

I took one step forward and then another and another until I reach her and wrap her in my arms. She seems to jump out of whatever state she was in and hugs me back to her.

And then I let her go.

ROSALINE'S P.O.V.

We let go of our embrace and I just stared at him for a second before my confusion set in.

"Oh no I'm gonna be late for my mindterm!"

Why was that the first thing that came out of my mouth? I have no idea it's like my brain is trying to catch up at a million miles an hour.

The tall man besides me laughs. Not a small chuckle and big laugh.

Michael walks in with his mate and they both give me lots of hugs.

"How are you feeling? " they ask.

"Tired and a bit out of it but okay. How long have I been Here?"

"A few weeks or so think you took a long enough nap?"

I think my eyes bug out of my head a few weeks?!??!

Xavier starts to play with my fingers and automatically I feel calmer.

The doctor walks in and asks to talk to Xavier and Michael alone for a second.

Once they come back the doctor clears me to go. Luckily Michael's mate brought me some hygiene stuff so I take a shower and get changed. I was pulling my shirt over my head when it hits me. I'm marked!

What the hell????

I pull my shirt over my head and stomp out into the room.

Giving my mate the best death glare I can master I make everyone else get out.

"Who the hell said you could mark me?" I said anger clear in my voice

I saw his eyes switch from his deep Carmel color to green the color of his wolf's eyes before going back to Carmel.

" I understand you are upset but I had no cho-"

"I swear to the goddess if you finish that word I won't talk to you for a month. Marking is a big thing Xavier! And I was kind of hoping I would be awake during it 😡"

" I understand that. These are exactly what I was envisioning either but you either died or I mark you. And there was no way in hell I would let you die"

Though I was a bit hurt that I wasn't awake. I knew that Xavier could never feel sorry. And frankly I'm to tired to argue this. He saved my life and for that I'm thankful.

"I'm confused a little hurt and have questions but I'm sleepy and hungry so we can talk about this later. But either way thank you" I said turning back to the backroom to brush out my hair putting it into a bun and sliding my shoes and socks on.

After leaving the hospital with all the paper work Michael drove up front while I laid in my mates arms asleep.

Michael stopped and got me chicken fries, French fries, and a milkshake from burger king because he knew it was my favorite. We all sat and ate before returning home and falling asleep watching Guardians of the galaxy. I guess everyone was exhausted.
