Chapter 12

I am currently sitting in my brother's office with Xavier.

"Why am I here?"

"Because we need to talk to you about something important," Xavier answered.

I nodded my head waiting for them to start whatever was so important they had to interrupt my delicious triple chocolate pancakes for. 

They share a look before Xavier starts talking

"Many years ago there was another group of supernaturals. They were incredibly powerful. They became known as Seekers. They had abilities of sorts. Normally things to do with either the Senses or the elements. But the trick is only one of them were ever on the earth at the same time. They were magical and incredibly important.

They often worked in key with the royal palace since they could tap into certain things. The very last one ever was named Aphrodite. Her last series of visions were all about the very last of her kind. She said there would be one more in many years to come. That she would be near death in her early years and we would have to find her and a cure before she died.

She said that something terrible was going to happen. That the girl would be the most powerful being to ever walk the earth at full power.

But she would also be the purest being of all even passing the goddess herself. That she was the savior of us all. Or our greatest downfall if we failed in helping her complete her journey. That girl is you"

I couldn't help the giant laugh that escaped my mouth. I even had tears in my eyes. 

"Wow, you guys good one! Seriously over the top" I said after I regained my composure and wiped the tears that had spilled over. 

" We aren't kidding."

No one said anything for a few minutes as I let the words he said digest over me.

"How do you know it's me?" I asked him slowly.

His eyes held truth.

"Your heart is pure gold literally that s why the doctors couldn't help you. I had to mark you so your heart would heal itself back together."

"No this can't be true I'm just the girl with the heart condition I'm going to die soon."

"My mark saved you, Rosaline, you won't die I promise" he took my hand in his.

"And you believe this?" I asked turning to Michael.

"Yes I saw your heart myself and it makes sense." 

I thought for a moment before deciding I need a little bit of time to myself.

"I am going to go and be alone for a while. I just need to think and let what you guys are saying fully sink in."

I didn't give them an option I just left the room.

Okay sure!!!

I went upstairs and grabbed a clean set of clothes and walked out the door to a guarded clearing.

I walked about a foot in and looked around the area just to be sure no one else was here. Then I thought of becoming my wolf. The pain was one of the worst pains I have ever felt. Everyone bone breaking and moving to a new format. But luckily for me, it was over in like 10 seconds. That was really fast!

I looked down at my paws and was astounded! They were gold. I don't mean like a honey blonde color but gold a pure gold color but looked soft and almost dare I say it magical!

I walked over to the lake on my rights and looked at the rest of me. It was the exact same color except right above my heart there were two small hearts one black and one white!

'Xavier can you come here please I'm in the clearing'

'I'll be there in two seconds babe'

He looked at me with his mouth open.

And then transformed into his wolf.

His wolf was huge and muscular and black with white hears around his face and his ears.

I let my wolf take control as I sat in the back of my mind just thinking. Thinking about all Xavier told me about life and my parents, leaving home to be with Xavier, leaving my brother and everyone else behind.

I knew Xavier had to go back. He has been here far too long and needs to return to his duties.

Our wolves gave us back control and we both got changed into our spare clothes.

"You need to be home," I told him. It wasn't a question or a demand it was simply a true statement.

"We need to go home" he replied.

"I am not ready to go Xavier and you need to return to your duties as king. I am sure you are plenty busy at the castle." I quirked an eyebrow up at him.

He let out a breath that told me I was right.

" I won't leave you here unprotected it's too dangerous!"

"What about your parents? You must miss them and your siblings! "

"Yes I miss them but you are my mate and important to me just as my family is. I will wait until all of your testings is done before we leave."

Neither of us were angry just a simple conversation.

"Xavier I know we are mates but we aren't like other mates. Your position is too high for you to be here any longer. I will miss you as well but you need to go. I will meet up with you just after testing is done.".

Though he looked upset about it we both knew it was the right thing to do.

That night we just had fun and enjoyed our last night together before he leaves in the morning.

(They didn't have sex btw)

Morning came far to fast and before I knew it he had reluctantly left after hugging me as if he would lose me and kissing my lips in a passionate kiss.
