Are you really sure you wanna do this?
I think so. I feel sick to my stomach just thinking about what’ll happen if I don’t.
They’ve lied to you quite a bit, haven’t they?
They have. I’ve had enough.
Don’t worry; I’ve got plenty of people in on it. They’re gonna see soon enough what happens when they don’t learn.
Learn they shall, I suppose.
That’s the spirit.
...What...are you two doing…?
Huh? When did you get here?!
I’ll take care of this little problem.
Huh?! Hey, what are you-- let go!

My eyes snap open, and I wake up in a cold sweat. I sit up abruptly, breathing heavily as beads of sweat roll down my forehead. I think I can hear somebody talking to me, but all thoughts of rationality leave me when a hand is placed on my shoulder.“Don’t!” I practically shriek, remembering the feeling of hands grabbing onto me. I couldn’t see the dream very well; two figures, both grabbing at me, both hurting me-- everything hurt, there was too much touching--
“Katsu! Katsu, calm down!”
I felt arms wrap around me, more gently, but all I could do was squeeze my eyes shut and thrash about weakly. The arms wrapped around me gently rubbed circles into my back, until my frantic cries had died down into pathetic little sobs.
Minutes passed, and as I came to, I realized that I had been not in the arms of an enemy, but Hayate, who had by now pulled me into his lap in an attempt to restrain me. I lifted my head from his chest, noting the concern filling his usually cold eyes.
“What was that about?” He asked. “You missed the morning announcement because you slept through it-- wouldn’t stop rolling around and shouting. You’re lucky these rooms are soundproof.”
“...Are they…?” I murmured. “Sorry-- I’m prone to night terrors.”
That wasn’t a lie. I had been having horrendous night terrors for the longest time. This one, though...it felt so real.
Hayate rested his chin atop my head; probably because I had still been shaking pretty badly. He gave a long, drawn out sigh.
“My sister did too,” he admits. “I knew not to wake you, but uh...once you woke up you were still squirming around pretty badly. Almost hit your wrist on a lamp.”
He gently shoved me off of him, back onto the bed, trying to keep his cold demeanor.
“Don’t expect me to do that again,” he said. “Next time you have a nightmare like that, you’re on your own.”
“You don’t mean that,” I state in a matter-of-fact tone, and Hayate huffs as he stands up.
“Come on, everyone’s in the dining area today. Better meet up with them.”
I nod, standing and wiping the sweat from my forehead. Maybe I’d shower first…
Shower, and then eat. That little game plan in mind, I headed off towards the bathroom. Today was going to be a long day.

“--Katsu, are you listening?”I snapped out of my thoughts when Okimi spoke up. I had still been thinking hard about the dream I had had when she broke me from my daze. Sheepishly, I looked down and shook my head. Okimi groaned.
