Chapter 8: Talk about loyalty||

Astrid's view

I woke up early today. 5:50. Today was our game against Iceland. We had the morning off considering we had practice yesterday. I was beyond nervous and I don't know why.

Maybe cause Iceland is 10 times more bigger than us. No biggie. I got dressed and went to the cafeteria where I was gonna go serve my breakfast. I took a bath and got ready. My outfit for today was a pair of black skinny jeans, my red converse and a red light jacket with golden stripes. I brushed my teeth and put my jet black Curly hair up In a high ponytail.

I then went to the cafeteria to find Guy eating breakfast. I went to the counter and asked for 3 pancakes and orange juice. I then went to where guy was to give him company. It was 6:10 now.

"Hi Gigi queen". I said

"Astrid. What are you doing up early?". He asked.

"I would ask the same thing".

"I usually wake up early so it's not a big deal. And you?"

"I got the jitters. Probably cause the game against Iceland".

"Oh. How is the team treating you".

" well, they are really nice "

"Especially me right". Guy winked at me.

"Nope. You've been making me uncomfortable the whole time". Guy laughed catching the joke.

"So I see you got the eye for connie". I smirked. Guy just sighed.

"Astrid I told you me and cons broke up and I dont like her like that. Plus I like someone else". He said winking.

"Who".

"Guess. It's a girl who is incredibly good at hockey. Hmm what else...she has curly hair and blue eyes. She is beautiful with such a nice personality. Who is 5'7 ish". He said with a big smile.

"I think I know who that is..averman. Wait no Adam. Never knew you had a thing for him". I said making him huff.

"Its you". I averted my eye towards him. I look surprised and I am surprised. I think he noticed and spoke up. "I know you like Charlie and Charlie likes you. I dont really have a chance cause you still see me as Connie's boyfriend. I just wanted to get that out my chest. But it would be
Lovely wouldn't it". He smirked and winked. Typical guy.

"Charlie likes me?" I questioned him.

"Don't you see the way he looks at you when you talk. I mean I would do the same thing but he is really falling. He makes it seem like hockey Is all he can think of but I can tell that you are a exception. It's hard for me to say that Charlie really does like you and you should go for it. I don't wanna get in the way". Guy said. He looked a bit bummed out. But I understand. I really do.

"But how about you".

"What about me". Guy said utterly confused.

"You must have someone you like. Even a teeny tiny bit".

"I could say connie. Now that I know you and Charlie are destined for each other. She was after all my first love and girlfriend. I have to admit but my feelings are coming back a bit. But I'm not gonna get too hopeful. I think she likes Dwayne". I feel bad for guy. He's a very great guy. Or should I say kid. After all his name is guy. But still.

"I doubt it. You know I'm close with cons. Plus I can be your wingman." I smirked and winked at him.

"You mean wing girl. Or wingwoman.". He said in a duh tone.

"Yea that. Whatever. But still I can find out if she has feelings too."I tried to convince him.

"Sure go ahead nobody is stopping you."he said. Wow he is so easy to convince or maybe its cause he really wants to get back together with cons.
