She's Gone (This One is Upsetting)

She gone,

Even though she didn't do anything wrong.

All she wanted to do was fit in,

Apparently that is such a great sin.

She was such a sweet girl,

Her soul as pure as a shining new pearl.

She lived just down the road,

But you avoided her like a poisonous toad.

Did you even know her name?

Was all of this a silly game?

You made fun of every little thing she did,

Did you know that her life's been hell ever since she was a kid?

You called her names and made her feel worthless,

But she never acted like a lady in distress.

School was her safe heaven,

Regardless the fact that she felt like an alien.

Her father run off once she was born,

Her mother a drunk since then but she never did mourn.

Mother was filled with self pity and anger,

Beat her daughter cause she couldn't hold it any longer.

You never knew and you wouldn't care,

You just enjoyed beating her till it hurt her to breathe air.

Every night her cried herself to sleep,

But even then she would do nothing but weep.

You all did everything you could to make her life hell,

For even thinking that you should be locked in a cell.

After the years of bullying, abuse and pain,

She cut her skin until there was nothing in her vein.

After all that she wanted to end her own life,

She did so with the help of a swift knife.

Her precious blood spils on the floor,

But whats that? A knock on the door?

Her beloved boyfriend, that's who,

And he sees her in full view.

Shock is clear on his face,

As he runs, her heart slows it's pace.

He covers her sore skin,

And he prays that death won't win.

With her last few moments she kisses his tears away,

And accepts that she will only gain freedom this way.

She smiles and hugs him one last time,

"Join me when the flowers are in their prime."

Those were her last words and he's okay with that,

He called the cops and waited in the flat.

They came and pronounced her dead,

At her funeral alone he stood in dread.

But he did listen to her and waited for spring,

And when he pulled the trigger even the birds stopped their sing.

Alas they can be together,

Standing side by side forever.

The bullies didn't even notice that she's gone,

Nevermind, in the end she turned into a beautiful swan.

Her mother fell into depression and regretted laying a finger on her baby,

She kept thinking maybe if her father never left she would still be alive, maybe..

Maybe that's true but their both gone,

No one ever cared but their names were Adam and Dawn.
