Adam had been wondering for the rest of the school day why Peter wanted him to meet around the back of the school. He was excited and kept checking the clock in class, as if staring at it would make time go faster.

As he neared the front facade of the school, he could tell Adam was scared. "It's ok, you're safe with me" he comforted him.
