Song: A little Death- the neighbourhood

Blair's POV

"Well, if I can't die, this would be much easier. Now get out of my way please." I say still trying to leave. "You can't leave. Owen and Eliza are out there somewhere." Millie says. "And how do you know that?" I ask, my right eyebrow raised. "I saw them, when I went outside I saw them but they didn't see me." She replies. "Well if we can't die, that's perfect. Now let me go." I say. "No. I need to run some tests on you to see what caused you to stay alive." Millie says. "Millie, I don't want to hurt you, I'm asking you kindly to let me leave." I say, my fists clenching at my sides. I see Millie's eyes look at Zack for a moment then they go back to mine. "I didn't want to do this but it looks like I have to." She says. "Do what?" I ask.

She looks to Caleb and I see him walking closer to me from my peripheral vision. I see him pull out an injection filled with a pale yellow liquid. I look back at Millie and see that she also has the injection in her hand. "Blair I'm sorry." Caleb says walking closer to me. I look at Millie and see that she is heading towards me as well. "You can still change your mind." She says. "No. Caleb, I'm sorry." I say grabbing Caleb and punching him in the face knocking him out. Then I turn to Millie, but I didn't see her. When I go to turn around again I see her grab my arm and insert the needle in my bloodstream. My eyes close and someone catches me as I fall.

When I open my eyes again, I see that I am strapped down to a bed and my shoulder is fixed. I roll my eyes at that. I wiggle my hands trying to get out of the straps. I can't. I pull against them but they hold me down. I look at my surroundings and realize that I can't see anything else but the bed and the straps. Are you kidding me? I was so close. "I see that you're awake." A voice says from the other side of the room. I don't answer. "I know that you may be mad at us but we're just doing this because we want to keep you safe." The same voice says. "Can you turn on the light? I can't see shit." I say.

When the person turns on the light I see that it is Caleb. He has a nasty bruise on his left cheek. "You hit like a grown man that is a pro wrestler." He says. I smile a little at that. "I'm sorry for doing that." I say. "Don't be, I understand why you did." He says. "Then why the hell do you have me in her strapped down to a fricken bed?!" I ask. "It's complicated." He says. I glare at him."How about you let me go? Just remove the straps from me so I can move." I say giving him my most innocent look. "No." He says. "I like you strapped down, I can walk around and do this every time you say something stupid or I don't like it." He says. He walks up to me and pokes my fixed shoulder. "Interesting, I feel no pain." I say. "Millie numbed your body." He says. "Then what's the point of poking my shoulder?" I ask. "To annoy you." He says. "Get out." I say, clearly annoyed. "And go call Zack, sure." He says heading towards the door. "Wait no! Stay!" I say.

Caleb walks back in with a smile on his face. "I wasn't actually going to do it." He says laughing. "If I could have raised my hand right now, I would have given you the bird." I say. "Besides, I couldn't have called Zack, he's um....preoccupied." Caleb says not meeting my eyes. "Preoccupied with what?" I ask. My stupid curiosity getting the best of me. Fuck you curiosity. "I can't say." He says. "Do you know?" I ask. "Yes." He is now walking around the room. After a while of silence, he asks, "why did you break him?" I honestly have no reply for that. "I didn't break him." Is all I can say. "You broke both him and yourself." He says.

I sigh. "I had to push him out and let him go for both my safety and everyone else's. Bad things always happen to me." I say. "Not if you have us." Caleb says. "If I have you, you will be added to the wall that my enemies probably have with a picture of me and knives stuck to it." I say. "Well then we'll just have to accept that because we chose to help you." Caleb says shrugging his shoulders. "I don't want you to have to do that." I say. "It is not and will never be your choice." He says. "You're right." I say accepting defeat. "I know, I'm always right." He says with a smile on his face.
