I went around my mom's new house and examined everything.

She bought this house for a cheap price and it's kind of suspiscious for me.

My mom would say that I'm being paranoid and told me to stop asking about the house. She said that we should be thankful that we bought this house in a low price.

I admit, it's not that bad. It's actually beautiful that's why it's suspiscious.

"Instead of investigating the house, why don't you help cleaning it?" Mom asked when I passed by her.

I stopped walking and stared at her sitting in the couch.

"What do we need to do?" I asked after I sighed.

"Help me remove this carpet." Mom said as she pointed the dirty carpet in this living room.

Mom stood up and helped me remove the center table and the couch.

We were about to remove the carpet when my dogs, Haute and Ihee suddenly barked at one spot of the carpet. Mom shooed them away but they don't stop barking to the point that it's so noisy.

"Haute, Ihee, stop that." I said but they didn't listen. They just kept on barking at that one spot.

I have no choice but to carry Ihee and Haute and locked them inside my room but that didn't stop them from barking.

"Your dogs are so noisy." Mom said when I went back to the living room.

"They're not always like that." I defended.

Mom and I started to remove the carpet and threw it in the trash.

When we both went back, Haute and Ihee were in the living room again, barking at the spot where they barked before.

"Who let them out?" I asked mom beside me and she just stared at my dogs.

"Gosh, they're so noisy." I picked Haute and Ihee again and brought them back to my room and locked it again.

When I went back, mom was standing at the spot where my dogs were barking.

"Mom?" I asked. "What are you doing?"

"I think they want to tell us something." Mom said in her low voice.

It's kind of creepy because mom is not a weird person but right now, she's acting super weird.

"And?" I asked as I approached near her.

When I looked at her feet, I saw a stain in the wooden floor.

"What's that?" I asked as I squatted to look closer at the stain.

"Why don't we find out?" Mom said as she moved away.

I took a damp cloth and scrubbed the stain but it wouldn't budge. I took a brush and a soap detergent and brushed it with all my might but it still wouldn't budge. It's so hard to remove.

After a good 30 minutes, I gave up. Mom was in her room and I was alone in this living room.

Haute and Ihee seemed to calmed down now since they're not making noise anymore.

"Here." A hand gave me a glass of water behind me.

"Thanks mom." I said before I gulped the water and placed it on the center table.

Mom suddenly handed me the toolbox as she was behind me. I accepted the toolbox and turned around with confusion but I was even more confused when I saw no one behind me.

Who the hell gave me these?!

The air felt cold and I'm having goosebumps.

I looked at the stain again and thought of something.

I took a sharp metal inside this toolbox and smashed the wooden floor where the stain is. It caused a loud bang that echoed inside our house.

Mom went out of her room while rubbing her eyes.

"What was that noise?" Mom asked as I stared at her.

"You were sleeping?" I asked.

"Well, I'm awake now." She answered.

I chose not to mind the fact that somebody handed me a glass of water and the toolbox when mom was in her room all the time. Plus we were alone.

I continued to smash the wooden floor and when it was completely destroyed, I removed it and saw bones of a person peeking in the ground.

So the stain was not a dirt, it was blood.
