Chapter 20: Lost In Her Eyes

[POV Of School]

*Willy opened the gate and let you in*

*The courtyard was empty. You didn't have time to realize how much quieter things were. The courtyard was never this empty*

Y/N: Where is everyone?

Willy: I... don't know. Around the school somewhere.

Y/N: Got it.

Willy: How did it go?

Y/N: Tell Shawn that James said he'll help us. Tomorrow night is when we need to be there.

*He nodded and went off to find Shawn at the admin building*

Clementine: Let's go settle down and find Shawn.

*You all walked over to the dorms and went in*

[POV Of Dorms]

*You all walked down the hall*

AJ: I've never met anyone like James before.

*He looked up at Clementine*

AJ: I mean, he's tough. Not like you, though. He doesn't kill monsters... but he's not scared of them, either. He's cool.

*You all turned the corner and saw Ruby carrying some pillows*

Ruby: Hey. Willy told me the plan. How'd things go with that... guy?

Clementine: James. He agreed to help us.

Ruby: If someone told me we were gonna sneak onto a boat in a herd of walkers, I'd have called them crazy.

Y/N: So... uh... What's with the pillows?

Ruby: Oh. Well, I wanted to throw one last hootenanny before the big fight.

*AJ looked at Clementine*

AJ: Swear..?

Ruby: Huh?

AJ: It sounds like a swear.

Clementine: No, it's just another word for "party."

Ruby: Right. I know it sounds strange, throwing a party. But people need something to lift their spirits right about now.

Y/N: Yeah. A party to lighten the mood actually sounds nice.

Ruby: I wanted to make some tea for everyone.

*She looked at Clementine*

Ruby: Could I borrow your little heater thing?

*Clementine nodded*

AJ: What can I do?

Ruby: We need to pretty up the old music room. Could you make us something colorful to hang up?

AJ: Okay! I'll be an artist.

*AJ ran off and went into his room*

*Clementine shrugged and Ruby walked off*

*Clementine looked at you*

Clementine: Coming?

Y/N: In a minute. I'm gonna go put some stuff down.

*Clementine went into the room with AJ and you went down the hall to your room*
