Falling asleep on Sunday nights was always tricky for some reason. Taehyung found himself tossing and turning. He was too hot, then too cold. His mind was racing in a million different directions.

He saw a text come in, felt his phone buzz. He momentarily considered putting it on airplane mode, but curiosity won out.

It was Jungkook.

You awake?

Taehyung typed back in a bit of a haze. Barely.

Come to the peer.

Jungkook sent a location. It was pretty close to where they'd partied on the beach. Pretty close to Jungkook's house...

Why in the hell would Taehyung drive all the way there at...

He checked the time. 11:10 pm. 11:10 pm on a Sunday. Why would he do that.

He wasn't tired, though. And now the curiosity of what on earth Jungkook could possibly want was starting to get to him. Taehyung grumbled to himself. Sat up, stretched for a moment. What did he have to lose?

11:11. Fuck it. He threw back the covers.

When Taehyung arrived, the air was growing thick with fog. He got out of his car, noticing how few surroundings there were. How on earth was it so empty here?

The pier stretched out before him, long and eerie, lit by a sparse row of street lamps. There, on the end, he could make out two figures, seated on the edge, facing the endless stretch of sea.

"What the hell," Taehyung muttered under his breath. He pulled his phone from his pocket, sent a quick text to Jungkook.

Is someone with you?

He got a reply immediately. Yeah. You're in the right place, just come here.

"Curiosity can't really kill you, can it?" Why am I talking to myself?

Taehyung tried to shake the unease from his bones, and headed towards that last streetlamp, and the pair of shadows beneath it.

When his footsteps came into ear range, Jungkook turned around, and smiled. He gave a little nod.

"I didn't know if you'd come,"

"I wasn't sure if I would either," Taehyung waved, awkwardly, still feeling unsure for some reason.

"Hey!" Jimin spun around as well, patting the concrete beside him. "Come sit,"

"What the fuck are you guys doing out here?" Taehyung eased himself down beside Jimin as he was told, dropping his feet over the edge of the peer just like they had. The water was dark and oddly still.

Jimin shrugged, "Sometimes we just come here to talk, when we can't sleep,"

"I figured you'd be awake, too," Jungkook added.

Taehyung supposed that was a valid reason. This place still creeped him out, though. Maybe it was fine in the daylight, but...

"What happened to you?" Taehyung noticed a tiny cut over Jungkook's brow, slightly purpled around the edges. It was fresh. The concern was evident in his voice, but Jungkook just laughed it off.

"It was an accident," Jimin tenderly swept Jungkook's hair away from the wound, away from his forehead. The action was small, but incredibly tender. Taehyung almost felt as though he shouldn't have been watching.

"We were wrestling," Jimin continued, "and he cheated-"

"I didn't cheat!" Jungkook laughed.

"You did!" Jimin playfully covered Jungkook's mouth, muffling his protests. "He did," Jimin turned back to Taehyung, "He cheated and tickled me, and I don't know, I'm ticklish and I accidentally lashed out," Jimin explained. "I felt so sorry. But it was his own fault,"
