October the 6th 1941
The wind and wisps of water from the slashing waves hit the girls face. Her auburn locks of long hair danced a mad dance on the fingers of the wind. Around her legs, the dress which she wore followed the lead of her hair as it streamed back, pushed by the wind .
The deck was bare and empty. Other then the odd benches and scarce people, that only decided to go outside for a quick breath of fresh air, the young woman was alone.
She held onto the railings, making her knuckles go white. The gale spat white salt spray onto her face while through squinting eyes, she took in the sight of the tumbling ocean and foam that crusted the tips of each wave.
Beneath her, the boat swayed in figures of eight still managing to stay afloat on the roaring blue of the ocean.
Inside her, exhilaration pounded in her heart while fear mixed in her veins.
She was going start a new life. A knew life in a country far away. But still; she knew the rule that you can't escape the past. And she was right because soon the past would catch up with them and endanger her once again...
