They Wanted Me

Chapter:2

Banging woke me up. It was from upstairs. I got dressed in what I wanted to wear today and went upstairs. I grabbed two donuts scarfing them down as I walked to the alpha's office. One of the warriors spotted me and knocked briefly before letting me in.

"Glad you could make it this morning Inslie." He said. He knew how quiet I could be. "Could you rearrange the stock books? You know who, can't do it worth a sh-." He said. I nodded. Ever since he found out that my ex mate rejected me, he's been giving him hell. It's against pack rules to mark and mate another female before you find your own.

That's exactly what he did. I was told he's going to be stripped of his title and he's going to be thrown out of the beta apartment. I worked quietly. There was a knock at the door. The door opened a second later. I was sorting the books out in yearly order. "May I see the book for this year?" The alpha asked.

I searched through the books before handing it to him. "Mislabeled." He said. I was the only one besides the omegas that could keep my patience. I checked each book looking for the right one. I finally found it and started relabeling them. When I was done, the alpha was giving me another task. Take a note to the gamma.

He handed it to me and let me go. I exited the office and went outside. I stripped setting the note down before shifting and taking off with the note. I made it to the practice field and went right up to the gamma. I sat down as he was sparring with another wolf. He knocked the guy back and completely rolled him near the crowd.

He came over to me holding a hand out. I stood handing him the note. "Thank you Inslie." He said. He took the pen with it and had one of his men stand still. "Take this back to him. I imagine he's going to have you running back and forth." He said. I ran straight to the pack house.

Every wolf knew my coat. I was the unique one. The door was opened for me before I turned going down the alpha's hall. A warrior opened the door. My nails clicked on the floor as I went up to the desk. The alpha took the note and scribbled something down. It was handed back to me before I scurried out and back to the training field.

The gamma scribbled something before it was back to the pack house. I was let into the office and let the alpha have it before I fell onto the floor to catch my breath. I didn't mind errand running or playing pass the note. A bowl of water was set next to me. I looked up seeing one of the brothers. They must be here discussing matters and stop talking when I enter.

I got a quick drink before I was off again. My tail thumped against something as I left. I ran there, waited three seconds, and ran back to the office. The alpha got it from me saying this was my last run. He handed it back before I went back. The gamma looked it over, wrote something down before letting me go back.

I didn't shift and went straight back into the alpha's office. I let him have the note before I laid down on the cool floor. I sighed as I closed my eyes. I felt my fur ruffled. I opened my eyes. One of the brothers was petting my fur. I moved my position to my belly.

He kept petting me. I usually wished my mate would have accepted me. I would have laid beside him and loved him. Instead, I find out that he rejects me and marks a different female right in front of me. I sighed trying not to think about what it could have been.

I guess I fell asleep next to the guy because I woke up being carried. I lifted my head to look around. I was being carried to a room on the guest level. I was set on the bed before seeing which one it was. He went towards the bathroom while his brother stayed back. He turned the tv on and let me have a shirt to put on.

I waited until the one in the bathroom was done before I went to change. I shut the door with my snout and shifted. I was filthy from my running. I found some shampoo and body wash under the sink that was female before getting a quick wash. I finished and found some girls underwear in a drawer. I pulled them on before the T-shirt I was given.

I opened the door and stepped out. Both turned to face me. The one that had showered held an arm out. I cautiously went over to him. He pulled me to him. "Busy day?" He asked. I nodded. "Still tired?" The other asked as he got up on the bed with wet hair. I nodded.

They let me fall asleep between them. Wrong move.
