Chapter 5

I haven't seen Derek at school lately. But I have seen his ex Bethany with a new guy!? I really wanted to go up and slap her so hard for hurting Derek and then finding a new man. But I didn't being the shy girl I am.

I have heard many rumors about Derek, and I want them all the stop! Since this is a big school rumors spread fast! Hundreds of people are saying that he is scared to see Bethany with her new man. I also heard that he is just sick and I hope he isn't!

I finally decided to text him.

"Why do I have to make the first move," I said with a nervous sigh.

"Hey I haven't seen you at school. I know breakups are hard, but your strong!"

About 5 minutes later he texted me back.

"I'm good ig"

"Hey cheer up, do you wanna maybe catch a movie," I said while blushing on the other side of the phone.

"Yeah you know what I think a movie will help me!"

"Great! Meet me at my house we can hang here."

About 15 minutes later I heard a knock at the door. I ran down the stairs. I looked in the mirror that is right by the front door. Fixed my hair, and brushed my outfit. I wasn't wearing anything special, I was just wearing shorts and a cute shirt with my hair down.

I opened the door, and as I opened the door I looked right into Derek's eyes, as he ran his fingers through his hair.

"Come in"

"Thanks, I love your home by the way"

"Oh thanks!"

Even though I have a meth headed mom (she doesn't really do meth guys) my mom is a very hard working person to try and keep this house. My house wasn't really a mansion but it was a good size one, and the inside was very modern. We also had a nice pool and a hot tub, and a huge back yard. My mom wants to put up a stable for some horses.

As he walked through the door he took off his shoes. We sat down the couch, and no we weren't cuddling. Even though I kinda wish we were, but I want to take things slow.

The movie that we watched was Infinity War, because you know I'm in love with Marvel! So was Derek!

"I didn't know you liked Marvel," he said with a super cute smile.

"Yess I love Marvel," I shouted with a little giggle at the end!

When the movie was over it was around midnight. We got hungry and decided to go get McDonald's, when we got back it was about 1:00 A.M. Derek decided to go home because it was getting late, and it was a school night.

As he got into his dark grey Jeep, I watched him drive away and as I waved goodbye I thought I saw him wink at me, and give me his peachy cute smile!
