hyunjoon had cut his fingers. it was the only way he could continue seeing the red without having to cut deeply and cause trouble.
sunwoo entered the rooftop, he saw hyunjoon cut his fingers and the blood spilling out of it. he ran to hyunjoon and frantically put his fingers into his mouth.
"don't." sunwoo said after he had sucked the blood. "i dont want you to hurt yourself."
hyunjoon looked genuinely shocked. all his life he was constantly mocked for his monochrome vision. he had cut himself a lot but he eventually stopped after kevin told him to not hurt himself.
kevin became a good friend of hyunjoon. they were in the same school a few years back and he stood up for hyunjoon. hyunjoon didn't think of him a lot at first but soon eventually gave him a spot into his heart.
he knew kevin never liked him back. he had never found someone who had cared for him as genuinely as kevin did. but looking into sunwoo, hyunjoon suddenly saw something.
orange. the boy in front of him, trying to bandage his wounded fingers had a slight tint of orange into his skin. hyunjoon also saw the the orange color of sunwoo's dyed hair.
"you dyed your hair?" hyunjoon asked.
"yeah, i cant see what color it is though, so i asked my sister to pick a color that would suit me." sunwoo said as he finished bandaging hyunjoon.
"now what we should do is just find someone else to kill, not ourselves." sunwoo looked expectantly at hyunjoon. hyunjoon felt sunwoo's eyes on him and his cheeks felt warm.
"oh? your face looks a darker shade of grey today." sunwoo said as he stared into hyunjoon more.
"must be a trick of light. shadows exist, you know." hyunjoon made the excuse. he then said to sunwoo, "how about torturing that bae guy, he looked at kevin weirdly during music class a few days ago."
"really now? say we try to directly wound him from a far tomorrow? we really should be doing moves now." sunwoo said.
"we should, we should." hyunjoon agreed.
both weren't aware of the figure listening to them behind the stack of chairs and tables. the boy would do everything to save jacob from their wrath.
he would do everything to set his wrongdoings right. he quietly listened to the two's plans for jacob as hyunjoon caught sight of his red hair.
but he had done the wrong thing to ignore it. by the time he went to inspect the red he had seen. ju haknyeon had been long gone without a trace.
ju haknyeon would set this right. even if it costed his life.
