kevin moon had the talent to give color. he knew that because every first born male in his family had ex-monochromatics as lovers. they said they could only give color if they genuinely loved someone. they could do it only once though.

kevin moon felt frustrated. not because of his talent, but because of the person he's come to love.

jacob bae.

as far as kevin knew, jacob wasnt the closest bit monochromatic. he knew this because he had read one of jacob's essays in english class about color when the teacher tasked him to correct any wrong grammar in his classmates' english.

kevin felt frustrated because he felt like he was waiting his talent.

kevin had suspected of hyunjoon liking him. he would take note of how hyunjoon's cheeks burned up when he would do something for him. he would take note of how hyunjoon stuttered when he denied having a crush on anyone.

kevin felt guilty. he wanted hyunjoon to see color. but recently, having met sunwoo, he felt more and more guilty. he couldn't just forget about his talent when other's need it. he couldn't just let his best friend or his close friend see monochrome his entire life when he had the ability to let them see color.

but deep down kevin knew the answer. he would never be able to love hyunjoon or sunwoo. his heart had always been attracted to jacob, ever since he had saw him in class the day he had transferred.

kevin knew the answer and he felt guilty. he felt guilty he'll never be able to give someone color. but he knew better than to force love.

kevin moon knew that forcing love never had the best outcome. he knew better than going against your heart.

not because he just knew.

but because that's how his sister had died, forcing a love towards someone she's never had feelings for. even when that person had betrayed her and left her alone in that bathroom to die, drenched in blood as she slowly lost every bit of life in her. until she lay perfectly still in there until kevin found her too late.
