"All good to go up here," the pilot spoke calmly into the intercom above. "Ready for landing in .24 lightyears." A small ding erupted overhead. "Please fasten your seat belts. We will now switch into hyper drive."
I buckle my seat belt and lean back into my co-pilot's chair. My cappuccino leaves a foamy mustache above my lip. The warmth from the caffeinated beverage lets out a sigh from inside me. "Are. You. Done. With. That. Miss?" A drone pulls up beside me. I set the cup down on the tray. "Yes. Thank you, 922." "Have. A. Nice. Day. Miss." The drone leaves me to my work. I close my eyes, and feel the world accelerate around me.
