Just like in the previous book,I'll start by explaining Buddhism first since it came before Christianity.
Birth of Siddartha Gautama
Siddartha Gautama,better known as Shakyamuni or Gautama Buddha's birth is also like Jesus' birth,interpreted in mythological terms. The mother of Gautama,Mahamaya,was fecundated by the holy spirit and was thus informed by a holy messenger that she would bear a son not like any other: a king of kings. Gautama would renounce his regal life to become an ascetic and sacrifice himself for the benefit of all sentient beings. His birth was welcomed by a flower star in the east. Following Gautama's birth,the king of Maghada wanted to know if there was anyone who could threaten his being king regnant. He then sent two men out to find out for him,one of who found out about Gautama and reported him to the king. The king wanted Gautama along with his tribe,dead but he escaped this fate.
Birth of Jesus Christ
Jesus Christ,otherwise known as Jesus of Nazareth was also conceived the way in which Gautama was conceived-Only the mother of Jesus,Mary,was a virgin when she was fecundated by the holy spirit. She was the chosen one,the woman upon who God bestowed his favour and said "thou shalt be the mother of the world's saviour." Jesus' birth was also welcomed by a star which was seen by the magi. Following the birth of Jesus,King Herod desired to know if there was anyone capable of being a threat to his throne. He found out about Jesus and wanted him dead which led to Mary and Joseph(The appointed father of Jesus) to flee to Egypt,which helped in him escaping King Herod's wrath
