" alright where's the wee Russian" I said swinging open the door to Erin's room only to see James swapping spit with our new house mate

"Ah James , you have a Russian on your face" I whispered , my heart was breaking slightly but I knew it had no right to as James and I weren't officially together

"Actually she's from the Ukraine" Erin whispered back

"Oh"

Everyone began to leave for their dinner until it was just James and I left

"Ciara look that didn't mea-" James started but I interrupted him

"No it's fine really , you and I were just messing around it wasn't anything serious right , that wee Ukrainian seems to like you so you should just  ... fuck off with her" I said smiling

"Yeah fine , if we were just messing around I guess I will" He snapped

"Good" I yelled

"Good!"

"Fine" I yelled once again at him

"Fine!" He screamed back and walked out the door I turned around and say I'm the edge of my bed and that's when the tears started to flow

I didn't really listen to anything that was going on at dinner only that Katia had a real ungrateful attitude and that Granda was chatting up some woman from up the road.

He had bought her a cream horn in the local bakery , Aunt Mary wasn't impressed to say the least

Aunt Mary stormed away not liking the new found romance regarding Granda

"I'm happy for ya granda" I said smiling at him

"Thank you my wee darling" he said rubbing my hand

"Me too" uncle Gerry smiled

"Will you butt out Gerry for Christ sake" grandad yelled

"She's just very "I hate wall- and don't forget bloody ungrateful" I said interrupting Erin's complaint about Katia

"I just don't trust her okay , and what she said about my letters I just think she's playing some mind games here"

"Or maybe your letters are just really fucking dull" Michelle scoffed

"I'm not comfortable with you talking about my girlfriend like that" James said making all the girls glare at him including myself

Excuse me if I was a wee bit bitter

"Aha and she also fancies James"

"Aye that is a bit fucked up in fairness"

"Yeah I can't get my head around that" Clare said looking at James

I would've defended James but that just would've proved that I still liked him , even if he didn't like me very much at the moment

The icing on top of the cake was when Katia came back from ordering and starting shifting James

"And on that note" I whispered collecting my things

Jenny Joyce and her Ukrainian stopped me from leaving as she invited us to a get together she was having at her house that night

It was then David Donnelly walked in and started discussing music for tonight's party

"So you'll definitely be there david will you" I smiled at him and started playing with my hair

I could see James looking back and forth between us and I knew my plan was working

"Oh yeah definitely Ciara yeah am come up to me at any time and request a song" he stuttered

"I'll keep that in mind" I smiled as I slipped past him and put the doors of the diner feelings extra shitty about myself

"Bored?" I laughed at David who was by the DJ stand

"Not really my kind of music , look ciara there's something I need to tell you" David said in a serious voice

"Look David I know , and I feel like the most horrible person for leading you on , but I sorta have this thing with Jame-

"The English guy?"

"Yes but I kinda of messed it up and now he's bein-

"Invaded by a Russian"

"Yes , well a Ukrainian, Which is kind of ironic cause his kind invades everywhere else" I scoffed

"He's lucky" David smiled

"You think so?" I asked in a quiet voice

"You're a great girl Ciara , go find him and tell him , cause trust me there's no way he can't feel them same way about you" he said sincerely

"You're the best David, you know Erin has a thing for you , maybe try give that a go"

"I might just take you up on that" he smiled

I found James at the food table

"What's this I hear about you having sex with katia" I spat

Erin had told me during out classic performance of Saturday night that katia was planning to have sex with James

"Ciara look" he started

"No James you look , we had one stupid argument! One ! Married couples have one an hour , look I know I said we were just messing around but that's just cause I didn't want you to feel tied to me if you really wanted Kati-"my rambling was cut of by James' lips and my hands went straight to his soft curly hair

His hands stayed fair up my waist but I slid them down to place them on my bum.

He pulled away and looked at me surprised but wanted more

"Who's at your house right now" I whispered

"No one" he said

"I'm over this party , and I'm pretty sure Erin is up to something , let's go I don't want to be apart of it" I said grabbing his hands and walking out the door

I walked into his room to see his picture of the queen had now been replaced by a picture of him and I at granda's birthday two weeks ago

He sat on the bed while I stared out the window

"Were you really going to go through with it" I asked him not turning around

"No , katia kinda made me realize something" James whispered

"Oh yeah what's that" I said my back still to him

"That you are the only person I'd like to have sex with"

"James .. if you wanted to have sex with me , all you had to do was ask" I said turning around with a condom in my hand that I had stolen from katia's handbag.

I walked slowly and stood in front of him. He surprised me by grabbing my waist and literally throwing me on the bed making both of laugh

We bumped heads , laughed , and shouted and it was far from perfect

But it was the start of something amazing for the Galway girl and the English boy
