2 days later: Crystal's P.O.V
It has been 2 days since I had talked to Chris and 1 day since I talked to April.
Surprisingly April took me being a mermaid pretty well, she was shocked but she wasn't like weirded out or anything just shocked. I just wonder what was going through her mind when I showed her that. Or when Chris said he liked me. I may never know.
"Crystal lunchtime!"
"Coming mom."
I opened my bedroom door and went downstairs to eat lunch.
"What's for lunch?"
"Grilled cheese and chicken noodle soup. Your favorite."
"Great thanks mom."
I smiled and grabbed my plate, and sat down across from my mom.
"Mom can I ask you something?"
"Sure what is it?"
"How do you know if you have feelings for someone?"
"If you enjoy hanging out with them and having fun and being friends with them then you may start to develop feelings like joy and happiness around them."
"But what if you just met them?"
"Oh... then it might be too soon to tell. Are we talking about anyone in particular?"
"No just asking."
I looked down at my food then took a big bite out of my grilled cheese sandwich. I was yummy.😋
After lunch I decided to call Chris. Maybe I should talk to him about what he said. And maybe tell him that I like him too. Idk i'm so confused... Idk if I like him or if I like him as just a friend.
"Hello?"
"Hey Chris it's me Crystal."
"Oh hey."
"Hi I just wanted to talk to you about what you said the other day."
"Yea I'm sorry if it like took you by surprise because I know it's kind of sudden for someone to like someone they just met."
"Yea it did take me a little by surprise."
"Sorry... do you like me?"
"Chris..."
"No no it's fine I understand."
"Well it's just hard for me to develop feelings for someone I didn't even know like a week ago."
"Okay I understand, i'll see you at school tomorrow I guess."
"Ok bye."
"Bye...."
