Detention was over and Changmin had to walk home by himself because he let Kyungsoo drive his car home. He sighed and started walking. His home wasn't too far from the school but it wasn't too pleasant to walk home from school.
While Changmin was walking, he saw two dogs having fun and playing with each other. He smiled at the sight. He wondered what it was like to have someone like that to be with and have fun with. He sighed and frowned. He knew he'd never find someone like that.
He got rid of those thoughts and just continued walking. That was until he saw two birds flying after each other, singing happily. Changmin couldn't take it anymore. He felt so lonely and he couldn't do anything about it. He barely had any friends, and he was getting bullied.
He felt tears welling up in his eyes. He felt so dumb comparing himself to animals, but he couldn't resist. He felt so lonely. Changmin sat down on the nearest bench he could find and let it all out.
He was crying so hard he didn't hear footsteps walking up to him. There was a tap on his shoulder. He looked up to see the figure of Yunho. Changmin widened his eyes and quickly tried to wipe his face off with his sleeves but it was too late. He had already heard him crying.
Changmin tried to quickly stand up and run away but he failed. Yunho grabbed him before he could run. Changmin started crying even more. "L-Leave me alone!" he said, while trying to fight out of Yunho arms. He failed again.
Yunho grabbed him tighter. "Shh.. don't cry." Changmin was taken aback. "H-huh?" Why does Yunho care if Changmin cries or not. He brushed it off. He just wanted to escape Yunho.
Yunho turned him around and stared at his bright red face and eyes. His cheeks stained with tears. Changmin was still resisting. "Let go of me you twat!" He exclaimed. Yunho didn't care for petty insults. He was just trying to help Changmin. He released his tight grip of Changmin's shoulders and waited for him to run off.
Changmin started at Yunho in awe. "Why can't you just leave me alone," Changmin whined. "You were crying. C'mon, I'm not that heartless. What's bothering you?" Changmin couldn't believe what he had just heard. He shook his head and wiped his face. "What do you know? Now leave me be!" He yelled before he ran off.
Changmin was walking down the street as another tear rolled down his cheek. He quickly wiped it away as he started recognizing houses. He walked another block and walked up the stairs to his home. He saw his car parked in the driveway. He unlocked the door and found Kyungsoo asleep on the couch. He sighed and threw his bag on the dining room table.
He stood in silence for a few seconds, before sitting down on the couch next to Kyung's feet. He turned a movie on and began watching sappy romances. He saw a movie that was made by the novel he had read when he was in detention. He decided to watch it, just to see.
Fifteen minutes into the movie, Kyungsoo woke up. He had looked up and stared at Changmin. "Where have you been?" he asked, groggily. "I was in detention, remember?" Kyungsoo's face lit up with realization. "Was it fun? What did you do? Did anything interesting happen?" Kyungsoo asked excitedly.
Changmin ignored Kyungsoo's sporadic mind. He didn't want to answer his questions. Answering those would lead to questions about what happened while he was walking home. He didn't quite want to explain that. Mainly because he didn't understand it himself. He shrugged his shoulders and walked into the kitchen. "What's for dinner?" He asked.
"Uhh.. can we just get some takeout? I'm too lazy to cook anything." Changmin nodded. "You can take my car to get it if you want. I'll be here." Kyungsoo's face lit up with excitement. "Okay!" Kyungsoo was soon gone and Changmin sighed.
He continued watching the movie and felt tears welling up again. They just looked so in love and he had no one. He didn't have somebody to love. He couldn't take it anymore. He started crying. A lot. For minutes.
There was a knock at the door but Changmin couldn't hear it because he was crying too loudly. The knocking at the door became louder. Changmin finally heard the knocking and rushed to the door quickly wiping his tears away with his sleeve.
He opened the door and there was Kyungsoo. "O-oh hey!" Kyungsoo quickly noticed something wrong. "Hey.. you look like you've been crying. Are you okay?" Changmin sniffled. "I-I just.. N-nobody loves me a-and I have n-nobody t-to love a-and.." Kyungsoo hugged Changmin before he could finished.
They hugged for a few seconds before Kyungsoo pulled back. "I'll date you." Changmin's eyes widened. "W-What?" He was shocked. Kyungsoo smiled. "I'll date you. We're really close and we live together so why not?" Changmin shook his head. "K-Kyungsoo I d-don't see y-you in that way, s-sorry.."
"Pleaaase?" Kyungsoo begged. "Just for a few days and if you don't like it you can break up with me." Changmin thought for a minute and eventually nodded "Okay.. just for a few days." He sighed. Kyungsoo squealed with excitement. "Eee okay!" Changmin laughed and rolled his eyes. "Okay whatever. Let's just eat."
