While Mrs. Choi was teaching her lesson, Changmin took out his phone to text Kyung. He knew he could've gotten another day of detention for that, but he didn't care anymore. More time to study, right?
He texted Kyungsoo, "Got detention, drive yourself home. I'll give you the keys next period." He was still humiliated. He could hear the quiet snickers of the other students and he hid his bloody lip with his sleeves, hoping not to stain his favourite sweater.
Why had he done that? Is he just always looking for trouble? Why did he.. he.. do that.. thing? Changmin couldn't process why Yunho traced his lips like that. His thoughts carried to math. What had Mrs. Choi said? Dammit. Everyone was pulling out their notebooks and started writing things down. Changmin looked up at the board, and started copying down what was written.
His mind was running wild. How was he going to explain all this to Kyungsoo? Kyung has always cared a lot about Changmin. If Kyung saw his scarred lip and bruised cheeks, what would he say? Kyung was built too soft and small. There was no way he could do anything about it. He felt so bad, he should've fought back. Why hadn't he done anything? He just let himself take everything Yunho handed to him. Why was he so stupid?
So many questions crossed his busy mind. He completely forgot about math, and that's when Mrs. Choi called on him. He was so dazed, he couldn't hear what she had said. "W-What?" he stuttered. Mrs. Choi sighed. "What has gotten into you today?" Changmin couldn't say anything.
All he did was blush from embarrassment. "See me after class," she complained. He already knew he was screwed. Today honestly was not working out for poor Changmin. It just wasn't fair. His mind went straight to math from there. He couldn't take another punishment.
After class that day, Changmin began packing up this things and threw his bag over his shoulder. He quickly remembered that Mrs. Choi wanted to see him. He sighed under his breath and walked over to her desk after the bell had rung.
She looked up at him and flashed him a look of disappointment. "S-So you w-wanted to s-see me?" He stuttered. The teacher nodded. "Yes, I would like to speak with you about your behaviour. What's been up with you? You were late to class and you weren't paying attention to important information. Students even came into my class informing me that you started a fight in the hallway," she complained.
"No! I-I was.. it w-wasn't me!" Changmin whimpered. Mrs. Choi replied "I don't care who started it or what happened, all I know is that fighting will not be tolerated in our school. Both you and Yunho will have detention this week." Changmin stared at her in shock. He couldn't believe what he had just heard. He swore he was gonna have a heart attack.
💕💘
Changmin was miserable. He had detention for no reason. He sighed. There was nothing he could do. He walked to his locker and opened it, not noticing Kyungsoo walking up to him.
Kyungsoo cleared his throat. "Ahem?" he said, holding his hand out. Changmin looked up. "Huh? Oh, yeah." Changmin handed Kyung the keys to the car and smiled awkwardly. "Heh.."
"Dang, I never expected YOU to get detention. especially because of a fight." Changmin looked down and sighed. "Wait," he looked up. "How do YOU know what happened?" he asked, confused.
"How do I know? Changmin, the entire grade literally knows what happened. Everyone knows." Changmin was confused. How did the entire grade find out about the fight. He looked up only to see a bunch of kids staring at him. He sighed. He had never expected this to happen.

School was eventually over and it was time for detention. Changmin sighed and went to the detention room. He wasn't too fond of the teacher— Mr. Yang. He wasn't really mean, but he just gave Changmin bad vibes.
Changmin sat down in the seat farthest away from the teacher's desk. He hadn't exactly brought anything because he's never been in detention before, he had no idea what to do.
He sighed and set his head down on his desk, hoping to not get in trouble. He closed his eyes but was immediately interrupted by someone bursting into room and plopping in the seat right next to him.
He quickly sat up and turned to see the person beside him. It was nine other than Jung Yunho. Changmin sighed and rolled his eyes. "Oh of course you sit right next to me." Changmin scoffed and put his head back down, facing the opposite direction of Yunho.
"Yeah that's right I did. Got a problem with it?" Yunho remarked. Changmin sighed for the umpteenth time today. "Yunho I swear—" Changmin was cut off by the teacher.
"Boys," he said. "Quiet." Changmin looked down. "Sorry.."Mr. Yang sighed. He was going to take role soon. "Okay in this class we should have Yunho, Changmin, Jiwon, Jongin, and Yoongi, correct?" Everyone nodded. "Okay great."
A few minutes passed and Changmin was bored. He got some paper out and wrote something on it. He crumbled the paper up and threw it at Yunho. Yunho read what was on the paper. He looked mad. Changmin giggled.
Yunho tried to say something but Mr. Yang cut him off. "Yunho, what's that in your hand, hm?" Yunho looked down at the paper. "This? Oh it's nothing." Mr. Yang didn't believe him. "Oh yeah? Nothing? Then let me see it."
Mr. Yang stood up and walked over to the two boys and took the paper and went to the front of the classroom. "How about I read it aloud to everyone?" Changmin looked worried. If Mr, Yang saw what he had written, he'd get in trouble for sure.
The teacher had just started to read the paper when there was a knock at the door. "Oh let me get this real quick." He walked over to the door and opened it. There was a talk dark haired man at the door. The teacher looked pleased to see him and had started talking to him.
A few minutes passed and they were still talking. Changmin was hoping Mr. Yang would forget about the paper. The teacher hugged the man he was talking to and waved goodbye and shut the door. He had started to walk back to his seat and threw the paper in the garbage on his way back.
A huge wave of relief washed over Changmin at that moment, he felt like the luckiest person alive right now. He was kind of curious as to who that man was because, whoever he was, sure must distract him easily.
He was about to ask Mr. Yang that question but Yunho beat him to it. "Hey, who was that guy you hugged?" he asked. "O-oh uh.. just a.. friend.. yeah." Mr. Yang looked nervous.
"Mmhmm, suree." Yunho smirked. Mr. Yang looked down at his desk flustered. Changmin looked down as well. How could people find a love interest so easily? How do they find the perfect one so simply? Changmin had honestly given up trying to find "the one."
Changmin sighed yet again and got a book from the small bookshelf that was in the room. His book was about two total opposites falling in love with each other in a very unexpected way. He was never a fan of romantic stories but he felt connected with this one in some way, but he didn't know how.
