After they're all showered and dressed, Rick leads them to where the station has all the weapons locked up. He opens the gate and they look around at the different firearms.

"A lot of it's gone missing." He says as he picks up a rifle.

"Daddy, can I learn to shoot?" Duane asks as he looks at the two older men. "I'm old enough."

"Hell yes, you're gonna learn, but we've gotta do it carefully, teach you to respect the weapon." Morgan tells him.

"That's right. It's not a toy." Rick adds. "You pull the trigger, you have to mean it. Always remember that, Duane."

"Yes, sir."

"MJ?" Jack looks at her, and she sighs as she turns to him.

"Yeah." She nods. "Yeah, I'll teach you." The blonde reluctantly tells him. She hates the idea of putting a gun in his hand. Even if it is to save his life, to protect all of them.

MJ puts a few handguns in her backpack and she tells Jack to load up the ammunition that they'll need. Rick gives a rifle to Morgan and then puts a few guns in his own bag to carry with him.

Once they get everything that they can carry, they head out. "Conserve your ammo." Rick tells them. "It goes faster than you think, especially at target practice."

Morgan has Duane take their bag over to the car and then turns to MJ. "Sure am gonna miss you two." He says, and she smiles.

"I owe you, Morgan." She says as she hugs him. "More than you know."

"Are you sure you won't come along?" Rick asks as he looks at the other man.

"A few more days. By then, Duane will know how to shoot, and I won't be so rusty." He says, and the officer gets something from the cruiser.

He hands Morgan a walkie-talkie. "You got one battery. I'll turn mine on a few minutes every day at dawn. You get up there, that's how you'll find us." He tells him.

"You think ahead."

"Can't afford not to, not anymore." He says as MJ walks over to say goodbye to Duane.

"Listen, one thing — they may not seem like much one at a time, but in a group all riled up and hungry... Man, you watch your ass."

"That's how Jack and I almost didn't make it." MJ says as they walk back over to the men. "They had us cornered. Another minute, and we wouldn't be here right now."

"Be careful out there." Morgan says, and she nods.

"You too."

"You're a good man, Rick." He says as he looks back at him. "I hope you find your wife and son."
