chapter 2-The Neighbors

*Ivory above or to the side KEEP IN MIND SHE IS MIXED*

My mom pulled up to the house and I took the time to look at the use to be vacant house. We were getting neighbors. This was going to be interesting.

"I want you to wash up and take some cup-cakes and cheese fritters to the new neighbors." my mom says.

I nod and go up to my room. I wash my hands as I hear my godmother come in the house. Ivory should be coming up in a split second.

I dry my hands off and walk over to my bed. I unlace my sneakers replacing them with my nike slides.

"I cant believe my mom is making me take the neighbors an apple pie" Ivory complains as soon as she comes in.

"Im taking them cheese fritters" I say.

"Oh gosh....ill do whatever she says as long as she doesnt take my car" Ivory says.

My eyes almost pop out my sockets.

"Your mom didnt take it?" I ask shocked.

Ivory nods.

"My dad was home and persuaded her to let it go" she says.

I nod.

"What about their wedding?" I ask.

"They are still planning it...this weekend my mom wants us all to go look at bridesmaid dresses and cakes" she says.

"Umm Ivy...you know how me and you are about dresses" I say.

She nods.

"Yeah Lill...but its for my mom...ill deal with it" she explains.

I nod and get up.

"Lets go meet the neighbors" I say.

Ivy follows behind me as we make our way downstairs.

My god mother,Diamond, is in the kitchen with a cup of coffee and her suit still on.

"You girls ready?" She ask me and Ivy.

We nod as she hands Ivy the pie.

I grab the cheese fritters and follow behind. We make our way towards the door and across the lawn to the neighbors.

A lady is in the yard with a box and she looks around my god mothers age.

"Oh hello!!" She says excitedly to us.

"Hello welcome to the neighborhood" my godmother says.

"Im Diamond Vasquez...this is my daughter Ivory and her bestfrind, also my god daughter, Lilly" she says introducing us.

Im Ginger Reese....I have 3 kids....my oldest is Evan...my second oldest is Freddy and my little baby girl Tilly she is 4" Mrs.Reese says to us.

"Oh do please come in" she says leading us towards the house.

We get inside and she leads us to the kitchen.

"You can sit the food right there Im just going to call my kids down so you can meet them" she says.

"Freddy, Tilly Evan!!" She yells.

I hear short little giggles and know its Tilly.

She walks in and eyes me and Ivory.

"Who are they mommy?" She asked in a very cute voice.

"These are our neighbors...Mrs.Vasquez, Ivory and Lilly." Mrs.Reese says.
