Meanwhile in San Diego...
Madi:
Madi landed in Sunny San Diego yesterday and was greeted by her very best friend. The friend that she has been through everything with, Eric.
He and Madi met the Summer between Freshman and Sophomore Year of College and have been inseparable since. He was the Man of Honor in her Wedding, held her hand during Sterlings Funeral and has never left her side. He was her person, so as soon as he finished hugging her, he knew, "What's wrong?!" Eric asked suddenly.
"Nothing, why did Amanda tell you something was wrong?" Madi asked.
"No, she just told me that you were pinning over some stranger and to keep you occupied. Who is he and how do we find him?" Eric asked as they got in the car.
"We don't. Amanda and I tried and failed many times. He doesn't exist on the internet, so no such luck." Madi told him simply.
"Well it seems like we need to hit happy hour before we meet David for dinner." Eric said looking over at her.
"How are things with you and David?" effectively changing the subject.
"It's okay. We still fight about him always working and being gone all the time and still working when he's actually off. The usual. I actually have an interview for a new job that would relocate me out of the area. I would have to move to where this job was though." he admitted hesitantly.
"Where is it?" Madi knew how much Eric loved living in San Diego for the last 5 years, so it would have to take something big to get him to leave.
"Chicago. I would be taking a higher position. I would hate to leave, but this could be a once in a lifetime chance, you know?"
"I do. I think you should go for it if it's what you want. David will either get on board, or maybe this is what you two need to see that things are different now and leave it at that." Madi told him, for what felt like the millionth time. Madi liked David, she really did, but the two of them are better separate than together, and they've known that for awhile.
"I could tell you the same thing Missy. If finding this mystery guy is what you want, then you should go for it. Let's look him up in LA while we are there next weekend and see what we find!" Eric said like it was the best idea in the world.
"Okay, but until then, let's just have Madi and Eric time spent on the Beach, Surfing, Shopping and eating!" she told him.
"That I can do. I'm so glad you're here!" Eric said reaching over to squeeze her hand.
"Me too love, me too." she squeezed back.
Back in LA...
Rob:
Rob headed straight for Nate's office as soon as he got off of the phone with Olivia, he and Johnny were looking at his computer screen when Rob walked in "Guess who is moving back to Vancouver?" Rob asked.
"Apparently all three of us." Johnny said. "Nate and I just got the email! Dude, this is Amazing! I can't wait, the three of us together more often and in the same city for the most part."
"I'm headed up there this weekend, shipping my stuff today and driving the rest. I can spend the summer finishing some of my projects before we get a new workload. When are you two planning on making the move?" Rob asked.
"I'm going up soon to find a place to live, get settled and such. What about you Nate?" Johnny asked.
"I'll probably head up next month. I have quite a few things to finish here first. Let me know if you two have any leads on apartments when you are looking." Nate said.
