"GoodMorning Mr.Chan I finished my assignments you gave me yesterday where would u like for me to put them ?" , "GoodMorning Honnah , and thank you just place them on the right hand corner of my desk I'll get to them later" after I set my assignments on his desk I walked to my seat put my back pack behind my chair while placing my books on the top of my desk .

There wasn't an agenda on the board like every other day so I decided to pull out my phone and hop on Twitter , I retweeted a few things before checking my Direct message from jade it was a video of us from 10th grade god we were a total cringe.

After sending Jade the "😩🤦🏽‍♀️" emojis I locked my phone and put it back in my sweater pocket . "Okay class I'd like to welcome our new student" Mr.Chan said aloud . " Uh wassup I'm Kahlil and that's all there is to say I guess " he kept his hoodie on and head still held low while he sat two desk away I've barely even seen his face .

While opening my text book looking for the page that Chan wrote on the board , I grabbed a piece of line paper and a led pencil out of my backpack to write down the problems out of my text book .

" If you guys like you could join in groups to work on your math problems" everybody started to move spots and sit with there friends and talk away I just sat at my desk and began to answer my math problems .

I Didn't even bother looking up because once you pay attention to time instead of just working it starts moving real slooow . I look to the right of me for a quick second and I see the new boy with his head down just looking in his phone , I'm guessing he's done because I definitely am . I wrote my name in the corner of my paper with the date and just sat back in my chair waiting for the bell to dismiss me .

" Alright class that'll be all for today , don't forget to study for your pop quiz it'll be coming up soon"
While walking up to Mr.Chans desk to give him my paper I noticed Khalil's paper was blank all it had was his name on it , but I mean his business doesn't concern me right ? I don't  even know the kid .

" Honnah I'll be going over your papers  , keep up the good work champ" Mr.Chan said with a slight smile .

Don't worry Mr.C I will you know I got to keep the grades on lock I said smiling and throwing my back pack over my right shoulder . Deep down knowing school is kicking my behind like what more do they want from me a kidney and a limb ughh .

The crazy thing about it all is I've only got FOUR classes you'd think that'd ease the stress load but noooo AP English gives buttloads of homework literally no lacking , and I'm getting a little tired of algebra , plus I'm failing history and it's only the beginning I can honestly say my nursing classes are thee only thing I actually look forward to at this dump .

Finally making my way to English and sitting in my chair the teachers not even around I'm guessing that's why most of the students aren't either , I felt my phone vibrate in my jacket pocket it was a text from Jade telling me she's on her way upstairs I texted her back letting her know Ms.Jennings wasn't even in the classroom yet she sent back a smirking emoji I cracked a smile Jade is so predictable it's sickening .

" JS just entered" Jade said loudly letting her presence be known to our class and the one next door , she's such an agonizing pain I don't know how I put up with her foolishness honestly .

"Yo H did you peep the new boy , he's fineeee well at least he looks kind of fine that bwoy hoodie so low you would think he's onna lurk the way he's hiding that face "

"Yeah I seen him Jade but his face , not really he seems like the quiet type all I know is his name and that we have the same math class , I wonder if he's from around here and if so why I've never seen him " suddenly I hear heels tapping the ground I instantly realize Ms.Jennings is coming , most of the class is here now perfect timing because she has a short temper that I'd rather not have to deal with today I just want to do my work and Get out of here .

Good morning class my apologies for thee inconvenience I had a problem with a child from the period before and had to take him to the office and call his mother I don't have time for foolish games . But today will be watching a movie and you guys will have a report to turn in about it in two weeks .

"Tuh at least we get some entertainment in this classroom cause I'm sick of hearing her talking all day" Jade said behind my head loud enough just for me to hear but low enough for her to not get kicked out .

Ms.Jennings put the movie on and projected it on the board it ended up being Lean on me I know this movie like the back of my hand I'll just start on my report tonight that way I'll have nothing to worry about for the next two weeks in English class thank the lord .

While everybody's into the movie including Ms.Jennings I pull my phone out and I see a message from Mr.Chan telling me how he's raising my B- to an A and if I'd mind doing tutoring this semester , I smiled at the text he also said it'll give me extra credit so hey why not .  I replied back with an "of course"  locked my phone and put my head down on my desk to take a quick nap . The dark makes me tired or maybe it's just the waking up at the crack of dawn to catch the bus creeping up on me .
