Chapter Fourteen: Escaping the Book

"Leaving so soon?!", he asked me while throwing me off of the throne. I fell hard on the stone ground, and I was still in pain. "Join me, (Your Name)! We can rule together as king and queen!", Dark said as I got up from the floor. "I WILL NOT MARRY YOU, NOR LET YOU GET TO MARK!", I shouted while picking up the book from the floor. Dark's eyes turned red again and he laughed evilly at me. "HAHAHAHA!!!! Playing hard to get with me? Oh my dear, I HATE GAMES!", he said as he started to float in the air. I gasped in fright and ran around the room to find weapon. However, Dark was following me and trying to grab me. "If you really thought that potion you made me worked, then you were wrong! It only worked once on me, but I got used to it afterwards!", he said as I still ran for my life. As I reached a corner, I found an axe on the floor next to a knight. I picked it up and threatened Dark with it in my hands. "STAY BACK! OR I WILL KILL YOU MYSELF!", I shouted at him. He saw the axe and giggled at me. "Hehehehehe!!!!! Oh (Your Name), are you really going to kill me? Alright then! Do it! Use the axe to kill me now. I'm sure that it'll prove nothing to you. Maybe not even to Mark...", he said as I glared at his statement. He then turned to the mirror and it showed a picture of Mark crying on the couch back at home. And all of my friends were there comforting him. "I miss her so much... This was all my fault... I wish (Your Name) was here right now, so I can tell her how sorry I am.... I still love her as my friend.... My best friend....", Mark said in the mirror. I couldn't believe that I saw what I wanted him to say to me truly. Tears went down my eyes when I saw him crying again. "Oh Mark....", I said while thinking about him and the others. But the mirror changed back to red, and Dark laughed at me again. "HAHAHAHA!!!! How pathetic of that man... Thinking that he's sorry for making you leave him without a trace? Well, he's out of the picture now. Now there's a picture of you and me now in the future together.... Forever.... AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!", Dark said as he manically laughed again. I felt anger while crying a bit and looked at Dark again. While he was laughing, I raised the axe up and hit him in the heart with it. He screamed in horror, and blood was shot from his chest. I backed away when he turned into smoke, and he started to laugh while turning into smoke. I figure that it was time for me to leave. I ran to the book and got to it quickly. As I took out the roses, the portal opened finally. I looked at Dark one last time and heard him screaming behind the smoke that was now coming for me. "(YOUR NAME)! DON'T LEAVE ME! YOU'RE MY BRIDE! MINE! (YOUR NAME)!!!!!", Dark shouted one last time as I went into the portal. As I fell in, the explosion echoed in my ears.
